Tonight’s Strategy
What kind of night do we have on FanDuel? Maybe this will help. On my first pass at lineup construction I was easily able to fit Russell Westbrook, Victor Oladipo, Anthony Davis, and Andre Drummond. Even better? All the fill-ins have 25-to-30 fantasy point upside or more. So be prepared for high pay lines tonight.
As always, all fantasy ppg numbers are FanDuel specific.
So, with Saturday morning quickly passing by, I bring you today’s Position Coach article.
Point Guard
With the Nuggets allowing the second most fantasy ppg to the one, and the Thunder having the highest implied team total on the slate, I am all in on Russell Westbrook tonight. Triple-double night for sure.
If you decide to fade Westbrook, Jeff Teague went off the last time he faced the Knicks scoring over 45 fantasy points. This game has the second-highest expected point total on the slate and he is an excellent way to gain some exposure.
On the flipside, Derrick Rose also went off the last time he faced the Pacers dropping over 35 fantasy points. In a balanced lineup, I would consider pairing the two of them tonight.
With Rajon Rondo pretty much a storyline at this point, combined with having one of the better match-ups against a tough team in Toronto, Michael Carter-Williams finds himself in a spot to shine for cheap. I think tonight is the night he hits the 30-mark.
The Thunder are allowing the sixth most fantasy ppg to the one this season. This makes Emmanuel Mudiay, who has dropped more than 30-fantasy points six times this season, seem awful cheap.

Shooting Guard
The two is thin tonight, it seems, so no huge salary to spend-up on outside of DeMar DeRozan. He is averaging nearly 40 fantasy ppg over his last six, and should provide you with plenty of bang for your buck.
I am loving me some Victor Oladipo this evening. The price is fair facing a Nuggets team allowing the third most fantasy ppg to the two. He’s also averaging nearly 30 fantasy ppg over his last three, making this an easy choice.
In GPPs, Zach LaVine has some potential, even in a bad match-up facing the Jazz. The thing is, not only does LaVine play heavy minutes, but someone forgot tell him about the Jazz. The last time he faced them he dropped nearly 50 fantasy points.
Speaking of bad match-ups, the Thunder are allowing the third fewest fantasy ppg to the two. Call this one a hunch, but I just feel like Gary Harris is due for a big game. Wil Barton has been inconsistent as of late, while Harris does have a 40-fantasy point ceiling, although rare. Boom or bust.
With Nicolas Batum out, Jeremy Lamb becomes a prime value play for the near minimum salary. He gets a positive match-up with the Spurs allowing the ninth most fantasy ppg to the two and can drop a 30-spot if he gets hot.

Small Forward
If you have not been paying attention, Carmelo Anthony has been red hot. He is averaging over 50 fantasy ppg over his last two while dropping nearly 50 the last time he faced the Pacers. A lot to love here, but keep in mind, he is getting old.
As usual, Kawhi Leonard has managed to find his way into my article. He gets a positive match-up versus the Hornets tonight while averaging over 40 fantasy ppg in his last six.
I find the mid-priced players most attractive tonight, like Jae Crowder. So far, the results have been less then incredible, but I am sticking with him. The Pelicans are allowing the seventh most fantasy ppg to the three, while the Celtics have the third highest implied team total on the slate.
Portland is allowing the fourth most fantasy ppg to the three while Marcus Morris has that 30-fantasy point upside I look for at his price-tier.
If Glenn Robinson III starts in the two tonight again, facing a Knicks team allowing the second most fantasy ppg to the two, I would be willing to use him in GPPs for his price. If he finds his way into the rotation in any other spot, a complete fade.

Power Forward
Anthony Davis is the top play at PF tonight facing a Celtics frontcourt that allows the ninth most fantasy ppg to the PF and Center positions. Take your pick, he will start in one or the other. All-in here.
LaMarcus Aldridge dropped nearly 40 fantasy points in his last match-up versus the Hornets while averaging over 43 fantasy ppg in his last three.
Kristaps Porzingis gets a great match-up versus the Pacers tonight. He dropped over 35-fantasy points in their last bout while averaging over 40 fantasy ppg in his last four.
Jon Leuer has had a few bad games but finds himself facing a Portland team allowing the most fantasy ppg to the four. He has dropped more than 25 fantasy points eight times this season with some going over 30. He has managed to lure me in.
The Pelicans are allowing the fourth most fantasy ppg to the four while Amir Johnson does have that 30-fantasy point upside for peanuts. Boom or bust here.

Center
I love having a big scorer in the late game and Andre Drummond fits the bill. Portland is allowing the third most fantasy ppg to the center position while Drummond can easily drop a 50-spot for under $8,000 on FD.
Myles Turner is facing a Knicks team that is tied with Portland for allowing the third most fantasy ppg to the center position. He dropped over 40 fantasy points the last time they met.
I am not really going cheap at center but if I was, Joakim Noah is where I would look. He gets a positive match-up facing a Pacers team he dropped over 30 fantasy points against the last time he faced them.
