The 2014 Basketball Guide from FantasyAlarm is, in one phrase - a full-court press. We're not looking to run out the shot clock by passing the ball around the perimeter. We're gonna be up in your grill, sweating all over you with relentless pressure until we steal the ball, drive to the lane and stuff the ball through the hoop with a ferocious windmill dunk.

We're not content to do what everyone else does. We have the expected with articles covering sleepers and busts. There are team reports that answer who will be in each clubs starting lineup, which players are injury concerns and one big question for each club will be addressed. We've also included Player Rankings - more than 300 players are reviewed in a myriad of scoring setups (roto, H2H, points). Everything you expect to see is located in the Guide, not to mention the fact that it's a visually stunning piece thanks to one of the best graphic designers in the business.

But the Guide is so much more than that.

Some think that Kawhi Leonard is a top-25 player this year. We don't even think he belongs in the top-50.

We break down the best way to attack categories. How valuable are players that only help out in a couple? Moreover, which guys can be silent assassins in a category or two?

Are you evaluating players properly? We'll try to show you how sometimes the name on the back of a guy's jersey might mean more than it should in some cases.

Which sophomores took the leap last year? Which might this season?

There is an article entitled "20 Strategies to Dominate in Fantasy Basketball." In that piece we break down the waiver-wire, how to use a box score usage, what numbers really matter, how to understand rotations, what the preseason means, how to understand the scoring format your league uses, the art of the deal and so much more.

Are you interested in playing daily hoops? We have a primer to help you to feel comfortable in that world. We break down the lingo used and give some tips on how to best put together your squad.

Lisa Ann, adult film superstar and host of Lisa Ann Does Fantasy on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio, gives a rundown of how she became interested in the game of hoops. What other Guide has a star of that magnitude in it?

We're still waiting for an answer.

The 2014 Draft Guide from Fantasy Alarm might not be as innovative as the idea of Dr. James Naismith that led to the game of hoops being invented back in 1891. We like to think of the Guide as being on par with the invention of the 3-point line by the American Basketball League back in 1961 (it wasn't until the ABA adopted it in 1967 that it really took off). We may not be playing with a red, white & blue ball, or have an Afro-wearing Dr. J. swooping in from the wing for a monster dunk, but we've included more than enough data to set you on the path to a championship season in 2014.

Care to give us a chance to make your dreams of hosting the trophy a reality? Is so, we at Fantasy Alarm look forward to what will certainly be one wild ride.
