UPDATED AT 11:10PM EASTERN

The FedEx Cup Playoffs begin its 11th edition on a brand-new golf course.  This is not ideal for DFS golf players as it becomes even more of a crap shoot with no course history.  Let’s see what we know about Glen Oaks Golf Club.

The tour travels to Old Westbury, New York to Glen Oaks which draws comparisons to Augusta National Golf Club, host of the Masters.  The rough measures up to three and a half inches but for most intents and purposes, the visual is that of a wide-open canvas.  The greens are different from Augusta in that they feature Poa annua (with the common blend of bentgrass).  The forecast looks dry over the weekend which means that greens could run as fast as 12 and a half on the Stimpmeter.  The par-3 second and 17th holes can play as long as 230 yards and the par-5 third maxes at 625 yards, but the par-4 11th is only 323 yards.  Overview, the fairways can be generous but you must hit your second shots to the right spots on the greens or putting could become a hazard.  These players will have to hit a lot of 175 plus yard shots this week as they’ll see around nine approach shots around that distance and above.  This course is straightforward tee to green which makes it a fair start to the playoffs.

The field will features 120 golfers with five players not competing this weekend, Sergio Garcia, Brandt Snedeker, Adam Scott, Scott Piercy, and Dominic Bozzelli.

Whenever these players face a new course on Tour, I really try to avoid cash games because of the uncertainty and lack of course history.  Because of this fact, I'm only providing GPP lineups.  I've given you two GPP optimals for both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Good luck!
