How about that Open Championship huh?  That was such a cool experience watching those two veterans battle it out.  I did not know who to root for because Phil has always been my guy as a fellow lefty and Stenson is just a terrific golfer, who has battled for years and had never won that first major title.  The whole experience would have been even better if I had Phil or Stenson in my playbook, DOH!  Well, you can’t win them all, onto this week …

The RBC Canadian Open has called a lot courses home over the years.  Glen Abbey has played host in 2015, 2013, 2009, 2008, 2004 and now 2016.  It measures out to 7,253 yards and is listed as a Par 72.  The scores have been all over the place at this event but the one common trend for most all of the success players, scoring on the Par 5’s.  This is not a long track which means that the long hitters do not have a sizable advantage.  Total driving is vital because length and accuracy are equally important on this course.

The weather looks pretty crappy this weekend with rain in the forecast for Friday and Sunday in Oakville, Onterio.  I would recommend getting players going out early Thursday and late on Friday to avoid as much of the rain as possible.

Do you realize that the PGA Championship is NEXT WEEK?!?  This Olympic schedule has just thrown everything all out of whack and I do not like it!  This condensed schedule really makes it hard to read these players and how they are handling the changes.  We will continue to produce Fantasy Alarm DFS Golf coverage throughout the Olympics.

What would a DFS PGA golf article be without a visit from our good friend Paige!  She is not happy with our performance at The Open Championship and that’s why we’re getting right back out there and finding the mistakes.  Course history is very important but I guess I could take into account current form than I have in the past.  We will see how this new strategy works out.

GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE PLAYBOOK …
