Three weeks in and it’s never felt so good. Football is in full swing and we are finally starting to get a grip on many players, especially quarterbacks. Playing a quarterback that can rack up the stats is crucial to your team’s success, so whether it’s season-long or DFS, having one of these five guys in your lineup should make you feel pretty damn good about Week 4 of the NFL season. It’s not a surprise here that yet again, a quarterback facing Atlanta, New Orleans, or even Chicago finds himself in the top 5 this week. Can you blame us? No, because those defenses let up fantasy points in bunches.

Here is this week’s top 5 quarterbacks.

Cam Newton @ ATL

This is the week of all weeks to roster Cam Newton. Drew Brees just threw for 376 yards and three touchdowns against this meddling defensive unit. We all know that Newton loves to run the ball, and his unique skillset against this defense not only gives him incredible upside, but a very high floor as well.

Andrew Luck @ JAX

Jacksonville has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season and Luck has a good track record against his division foe. In six games against the Jags, Luck has thrown 10 touchdowns to just three interceptions, while adding another two scores on the ground. Easy top 5 quarterback this week.

Philip Rivers vs. NO

The Saints have allowed the eighth-most passing yards in the league while Philip Rivers has a quality 5:0 TD/INT ratio. Rivers has dealt with a lot of injuries among his pass catchers, but he’s making do with what he has available. Both teams will put up points in this one, and we can all come together to love Rivers in a shootout.

Matthew Stafford @ CHI

Chicago is dealing with a bevy of injuries on their defense and now they have to go up against Detroit’s gunslinger who ranks third in the league in passing yards. Stafford is averaging 328 passing yards per game and simply put, Chicago doesn’t have anyone to cover Golden Tate and Marvin Jones. Big week ahead for Stafford and Co.

Drew Brees @ SD

Brees is the only quarterback in the league with over 1,000 yards, while San Diego is one of only two teams to have allowed over 1,000 passing yards through the first three games. Brees has plenty of weapons at his disposal and tight end Coby Fleener finally looked the part of a dynamic tight end. A big week is in store for Brees in a shootout with Rivers.
