Point Guard

Jrue Holiday is going to be a focal point of the offense once again as DeMarcus Cousins is suspended for tonight’s game. He’s struggled in his new role, so he should return to his old self tonight against the Pistons. He’s one of the top PG plays of the night -- on DK, use him as a SG.

Chris Paul is back. The Clippers rarely seem to have all three of their Big Three healthy, but they are at full strength now. The Clippers and Rockets game should be an extremely high scoring game and Cp3 is going to tear it up. He’s still way too cheap on DK.

Tyler Johnson is back down to $5,100 and that’s likely due to his recent inconsistencies. TJ has a great history against the Sixers and he should see his regular allotment of minutes against them. He’s an interesting mid-tier/value guy.

Ish Smith and his minutes are both inconsistent, he could play 35 minutes or 13. This makes him a tournament play only. If he’s hot, Stan Van Gundy will keep him in there and he’ll almost certainly crush value.

Shooting Guard

Seth Curry will be one of the more popular plays of the evening as Wesley Matthews is out. He, Harrison Barnes, and Dirk Nowitzki all see a decent bump in usage with Wes off the floor. Curry is an excellent cash game play tonight.

Despite the price increase, DeMar DeRozan remains arguably the top cash game play of the evening; or at least one of the top plays. He’s $9,300 and as long as Kyle Lowry is out, DeRozan is a pretty safe bet for 40-plus fantasy points.

James Harden is the cheapest he’s been in weeks and he’s $11,700 on DK. The Clippers have given him some trouble in the past, but it’s a new Harden this year. There are plenty of stars that are underpriced tonight, so it may be hard to squeeze Harden in.

Lou Williams has been thriving in his new role with the Rockets and the high scoring game tonight is a perfect scenario for Williams to continue his rampage. He’s playing well under 30 minutes per game, so his ceiling is capped. Feel free to roll him out in cash games.

Small Forward

Giannis Antetokounmpo may fly a bit under the radar tonight with all of the stars on the slate but make sure you have some exposure to the Greek Freak. The Milwaukee and Denver game should be a very close game and will also be high scoring. With Michael Beasley out as well, Antetokounmpo will have more offensive responsibility than he already has.

LeBron James is nearly $11,000 and we rarely see him this expensive. Kevin Love is out and LeBron has been doing much more on the offensive end. The Celtics have been solid against SFs this season, but you can throw that out the window when LeBron is in town. This game should also be high scoring and close so you can expect LeBron to score 50-60 fantasy points tonight.

Terrence Ross is still way underpriced on DK and he has a solid matchup against the Knicks. If Aaron Gordon misses this game as well, that’s just more usage for Ross. He’s not a must-play by any means, but he’s a very intriguing play at $5,200.

Jeff Green is in play tonight as long as Aaron Gordon sits. However, that’s far from a guarantee. Aaron Gordon is questionable for tonight’s game and Green would lose all potential value if Gordon suits up.

Power Forward

James Johnson should be looking at a few extra minutes tonight with Willie Reed on the sidelines. Even when Reed suits up, Johnson typically sees minutes in the high-20’s to low 30’s. He has a great matchup against the Sixers so give him a long look.

Mirza Teletovic is the minimum price on DK because he’s only played 18 minutes in his last two games combined. One would think that he would see minutes in the low 20’s with Jabari Parker and Michael Beasley on the shelf. If he earns the start tonight, he’s worth a GPP dart throw.

Blake Griffin is rolling right now and he should keep it going against the Rockets. He’s still under $9.5k and it’s clear he’s back to his old self. Griffin is an excellent play in both formats and you need some exposure to him at the very least.

Anthony Davis is one of the top plays of the night in both formats. DeMarcus Cousins’ absence benefits Jrue Holiday, but Davis also gets the frontcourt to himself once again. Davis has a decent matchup against the Pistons and he’s a very safe play tonight, just pray he doesn’t get injured.

Center

Nikola Jokic broke out of his small slump yesterday as he recorded yet another triple-double. The big man should be back on track and with a favorable matchup against the Bucks, he needs to be firmly on your radar. He’s a near must-play in GPPs due to his uncharacteristically low price point.

The Michael Beasley should help Teletovic see some extra playing time, but Greg Monroe may be the biggest beneficiary here. Monroe always comes through for DFs players when he gets the minutes but Jason Kidd likes to lose, apparently. Monroe should see minutes in the high 20’s tonight and he’s a very solid play.

Hassan Whiteside gets a juicy matchup against the Sixers frontcourt that he’s torn up time and time again. He has 60 point upside and pairing him with Jokic in a few lineups is something worth considering.

Kyle O’Quinn should handle plenty of the center minutes tonight with rookie Willy Hernangomez out of the lineup. O’Quinn only needs 25 minutes or so and he should hit or exceed value, obviously we’d hope he surpasses the 30-minute mark. O’Quinn is one of the top value plays of the day.
