Point Guard

Isaiah Thomas will likely be the chalk of the night for point guards despite both Giannis Antetokounmpo and John Wall’s presence on the slate tonight. Thomas is as hot as you can get right now and with Sergio Rodriguez healthy again, it’s actually an upgrade for Thomas as Rodriguez’ defense is poor. He’s a tough fade in cash games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo just keeps getting better and it’s tough to believe it until you watch him play. He gets a rematch with the Knicks after he knocked down the buzzer beating jump shot to win the game. He notched 57 fantasy points last game against the Knicks and he easily could outdo that performance. The Greek Freak is just that good.

Patrick Beverley returned after a short absence and he didn’t miss a step. Beverley is known for his pesky defense, but he’s showing improvement in his offensive game this year as well. He’s just $5,400 on DK, thus making him one of the safer plays of today’s games.

D'Angelo Russell has also recently returned from an injury and he’s looked great so far. The Heat are a bit tough against point guards, but we can still use Russell in GPPs. He’s scored over 30 in his last four games and he’s still just $6,200.

Shooting Guard

Avery Bradley has slowed down quite a bit after a torrid start to 2017. However, he’s still viable for a high-floor cash option. The Sixers have allowed the fourth most FPPG to opposing SGs as well. Bradley hasn’t scored below 20 fantasy points in over 15 games and he’s one of the safest cash options for today.

Eric Gordon, the league’s leading 3-point shooter is also in play today. He and Avery Bradley are both an easy plug and play due to their high floors. Eric Gordon is averaging five 3-pointers per game over his last four and he’s arguably a better play than Bradley.

Sean Kilpatrick has shifted to a bench role, but that may actually benefit him for fantasy purposes. He saw 25 minutes yesterday and scored 30 DK points. While he’s one of the more inconsistent DFS options out there, he has huge upside at $5,300.

James Harden is on another planet right now. He’s scored below 55 fantasy just twice over the last 15 games. His 100 fantasy point game also displays his upside so he’s the perfect high-floor, high-ceiling player. He’s $12,200 and he won’t be in a ton of my lineups, but if more value opens up later tonight, I’ll try to fit him in a few more.

Small Forward

Jae Crowder is not happy with Celtics fans right now after they cheered on opposing SF Gordon Hayward, in hopes to potentially bring him to Boston in the coming years. It’s a far-fetched narrative but Crowder could be playing with a little extra motivation against the Sixers. Even if you don’t buy that, he’s just $5,200 and he’s the safest SF value play on the board.

Evan Fournier’s big games are tough to pinpoint, but he can get hot in a hurry. He just returned from an injury but did not face a minutes restriction. He’s only a tournament play, but he has a favorable matchup against Houston. It’s the highest O/U on the slate at 224.5.

Robert Covington is a dangerous and volatile option each and every night, even more than Evan Fournier. But he’s a stat sheet stuffer and his price is too cheap. He could flop and get you 20 DK points, but he has 40 point upside.

Jabari Parker has been rolling lately, but he struggled in his last game which happens to be who he’s facing tonight. Many will look at that and instantly fade Parker, but he’s still a viable option tonight. I wouldn’t go too heavy in my exposure to Parker, but try to fit him into a couple lineups.

Power Forward

Joel Embiid has scored over 40 fantasy points in four straight games and he’ll look to make five straight against a Boston team that can’t rebound to save their life. His upside is obviously still capped due to the minutes restriction, but he’s a strong bet for 5x value and potentially 6x value.

James Johnson is racking up the counting stats and he’s producing despite a bench role. He can burn you, but he’s been on fire lately. With Hassan Whiteside out once again, Johnson should see extended minutes.

Julius Randle is stuffing the stat sheet and he’s starting to rack in the assists. He has 22 assists over the last three games and that’s with D’Angelo Russell back in the lineup. The Heat are stingy against PF’s but Randle has shown matchups do not phase him in the past, i.e the Jazz.

If Kristaps Porzingis plays over 30 minutes tonight, he’ll be one of the top options at the PF spot. It’s tough to know how careful the Knicks will be with him, but he’s worth taking a chance on at the price.

Center

Marcin Gortat is streaky. It’s weird to say for a big man, but he seems to be extremely mediocre or very solid throughout the season. Right now, he’s looking for his fifth straight double-double and the Wolves present a favorable matchup. Gortat should rack up another double-double and he’s a great play in cash games.

With Elfrid Payton back in the starting lineup, Nikola Vucevic has been left to dominate off the bench. He’s the only true offensive star for the Magic and he’s coming off the bench, so his usage is actually a bit higher than when he wa starting. There will be little defense in this game and Vucevic projects to have a pretty solid game tonight.

JaMychal Green will sit out once again tonight against the Warriors and this game could get ugly. The Warriors lost to the Grizzlies in their last meeting, but the Warriors will likely put them into their place at home. Marc Gasol will need to step up big time if the Grizzlies hope to win this one and he should have a solid game.

Draymond Green is PF/C eligible on DK and while I don’t love him tonight against the Grizzlies, there’s certainly some things to like. Klay Thompson is questionable, JaMychal Green is out, and Green has been dominating lately. He could get a triple-double any given night and that thrusts him into GPP consideration alone.
