Hitters ----

Play of the Day: Mike Trout--  Mike Trout went deep for the 30th time last night during his shortened season, and even though the Angels are pretty much out of the playoffs, trout will look to finish strong.  After going 0-8, with three strikeouts, Trout has gone 3-7, with a double, homer, and stolen base over his last two games.  That also includes two walks and zero strikeouts.  Trout and Judge are neck and neck for the top spot tonight, but like Trout’s matchup more vs Volstad, who his making his first start since 2012 tonight.

Value Play: Jason Kipnis-- If paying up for top pitching tonight, you will need to fill in your lineup with some value plays.  The Indians have a top three projected run total tonight vs Bartolo Colon, who allowed three home runs over five innings in his last start.  Kipnis is 4-11, with two home runs off of Colon.

Value Play:Melky Cabrera --While there will be some cheaper OF options tonight that will appear once lineups come out, the Royals should roll with their starting core of players during this homestand.  They face Sanchez tonight, who has pitched extremely well over his last two starts, but still has a 6.68 ERA for the season.  The Royals have contributed to that high ERA, as Sanchez is 0-1, with a 12.27 ERA over two starts vs them this year.  Melky is batting .425 over 40 at bats vs Sanchez.

GPP Play: Paul Goldschmidt-- After clinching home field for the wild card game, Arizona will return to their main starters tonight.  Goldschmidt actually costs the same tonight as Reyes, and less than Santana tonight on Y!.  Goldschmidt has scored 11 runs over his last ten games, and faces the lefty Moore tonight.  Goldy is 5-14, with a home run off of him.

Pitchers ----

Play of the Day: Chris Sale--  Chris Sale went seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out eleven the last time he faced Toronto.  Sale has produced over 40 Y! Points in all three starts vs the Jays this year, and has not allowed a run to them while having a 35:2 K:BB ratio over those 22 innings.  Sale will cost you, but is a must play for cash games tonight.

Top Play: Robbie Ray-- Over six starts since returning from the DL after being hit by a pitch, Ray is 5-0, with a 2.45 ERA.  He’ll face the Giants tonight at home, and has 24 strikeouts over 19.1 innings vs them this season.  He snapped his string of four straight games with double digit K’s in his last start, but struck out ten over seven innings in his previous start, which was against the Giants.

Pivot Play:  Gio Gonzalez  Similar to Arizona, Washington should be back to full strength tonight vs the Phillies.  Gio has allowed three earned runs over 14 innings to them this season, and has allowed two or less earned runs in eight of his last ten starts.  His price is at a point where he may not be too popular tonight, but is still in a solid spot vs the Phillies tonight, as they have only scored seven total runs over their last four games.

GPP Play: Daniel Mengden--  Although there are some solid mid-priced pitching options, Mengden checks in as a cheaper option to pair up with a top pitcher for gpp’s tonight.  Mengden has a 11:0 K:BB ratio over his last two starts, but more impressive is his zero runs allowed over his last two starts.  The biggest concern is that he has thrown 224 pitches over his last two starts, as well as Seattle going deep all night in the first game of this series.
