Hitters

Play of the Day: J.D. Martinez-- Martinez followed up his two home run game on Sunday with a three-hit game last night.  He added a stolen base as well to up his fantasy production even more.  Martinez is now batting .419 with eight home runs over his last 10 games.  Arizona doesn’t have a top projected run total tonight, but hard to lay off of Martinez tonight.

Top Play: Gary Sanchez-- Sanchez extended his hit streak to six games last night while reaching base safely twice.  He faces the lefty Blake Snell tonight, who is coming off a tough, six runs allowed in just four innings, start.  Sanchez is 3-for-6, with two homers off Snell, and is your top catcher option once again tonight.

Value Play: Andrew McCutchen-- McCutchen’s price is too low on Y! tonight after hitting his 20th career homer at Miller Park in the first game of this series.  McCutchen has reached base safely in 15-straight games in Milwaukee now.

GPP Play: Mookie Betts-- While Texas and Cleveland may be the top two teams to target tonight, I like the Red Sox price tags tonight vs. Sean Manaea as a higher risk stack option.  Vegas has the Red Sox projected at close to 5.5 runs tonight, and they have some solid numbers vs. Oakland pitching.  Betts is 2-for-5 with a homer and receives a boost if Nunez returns.  His teammates in Chris Young (4-for-4) and Hanley Ramirez (3-for-4 ,2 HRs), make for a nice pairing with Betts tonight.

Pitchers

Play of the Day: Corey Kluber-- Cleveland starting pitching has gone 17-0, with a 1.84 ERA over their team’s 19-game win streak, and deciding to fade their top pitcher would be a mistake tonight.  Kluber leads the A.L. with his 2.56 ERA, and has gone 12-2, with a 1.89 ERA over his 19 starts since returning from the DL in June.  He has a 194:21 K:BB ratio over that span.  His 5.24 ERA in four starts vs. the Tigers this season is his worst vs. any team, but still prefer him over Kershaw tonight.

Top Play:  Clayton Kershaw-- If Kershaw beats the Giants tonight, he will become the first active player with 21 or more career wins vs. two MLB teams.  He’s 21-7 vs. the Rockies, and comes into this game with a 20-9 record, with a 1.62 career ERA vs. the Giants.  Kershaw has 295 Ks over those 283.1 innings, which includes seven scoreless with five strikeouts back in May.  Kershaw is the Dodgers best hope to break out of their 11-game losing streak.

Value Play: Kyle Gibson-- The Twins are holding on to the second wild card spot, and have a home inter-league matchup with the Padres tonight.  Gibson has never faced them over his career, and checks in as a nice, lower-mid-tier option tonight. Gibson is pitching his best of the season currently, going 3-0, with a 1.69 ERA over his last four starts, after allowing at least three runs over his previous six starts.

GPP Play: Dylan Bundy-- Bundy will likely go low owned compared to others at a similar price tag tonight.  He faces the Blue Jays tonight as a slight road favorite.  Bundy is 2-0, with a 0.69 ERA over two starts vs. Toronto this year.  Both starts were back in April, and he had a 14:1 K:BB ratio over those 13 innings.  Bundy has at least 10 strikeouts in three of his last five starts.
