Hitters

Play of the Day: Bryce Harper-- Harper is on a 16 game hit streak, with seven of his last eleven hits going for XBH’s.  Harper is batting .450 with five homers over his last ten games going into the matchup with the righty Davies.

Pivot Play: Jose Altuve--Altuve is the top priced non-OF player tonight, and coming off his second straight four hit game. Altuve also has a 16 game hitting streak, and batting .528 during it.  Pivetta has allowed seven long balls over his last three starts.

Value Play: Gerardo Parra-- Parra took Lynn deep in their last matchup, and is now 13-26 with three homers lifetime off of him.  Parring is batting .500 with two homers over his last ten, but may  be a hit by pitch victim in his first at bat due to his HR antics last time they faced.

Value Play: Hector Sanchez--Sanchez is a cheap catcher option for the Padres, who are favored vs Lugo tonight.  Sanchez has four homers already in the second half, and batting .400 over his last ten games.

Pitchers

Play of the Day: Sonny Gray- Gray is 4-1 with a 1.62 ERA, and holding opponents to just a .155 batting average over his past five starts.  Gray hasn’t allowed a run in the first inning in those starts, and has produced at least 23 Y! Points in all five starts.

Top Play: Mike Clevinger- Clevinger is averaging 9.5 K’s and 4.9 hits per nine innings over his last six starts.  Clevinger is holding opponents to a .196 average, going 3-0 with a 1.36 ERA during his current run.

Pivot Play: Jameson Taillon--  Taillon is a current underdog vs the Giants, but is 3-2 with a 2.84 ERA since returning from the DL on June 12th.  Taillon allowed two runs or less in five of those seven starts.

GPP Play: Madison Bumgarner- Bumgarner is still looking for his first win of the year while facing the Pirates tonight.  Bumgarner allowed two homers in back to back starts for the first time in his career, but he has the most elite stuff of any pitcher going tonight.
