Spit game slate for Saturday with 10 games in the day slate, and only five this evening. While the game in Coors highlights the evening slate, the early slate is pretty wide open with double the amount of games.

As always, things can change based on lineups and weather, so do stay up to date using the Playbook Pro tools. Below are my favorite stack options for the day. Good luck!

Stacks for Saturday, May 27

Early Slate:

Seattle @ Boston

If you are paying up for one of the two higher cost pitchers early on, this stack provides a nice mix of high, middle, and low cost options going up against two pitchers who have been in Triple A more than the majors this season.

Seattle sends Rob Whalen to pitch for the first time for them this season today. He went 1-2 with a 6.57 ERA in five starts last season, and has a 4.09 ERA in 22 innings at Triple A this season. While there is not much to go on with Whalen, they will be able to hopefully have a good luck at him the first time around in the lineups, as Boston hitters are averaging 4.0 Pitches per Plate Appearance versus RHP this season (Rank: 2nd of 30 in MLB). Once they knock him out,

the Red Sox hitters have an OBP of .375 versus relief pitchers this season (Rank: 1st of 30 in MLB. Attacking the Boston mid to bottom part of the order may be the best route to go in order to save some salary, but can never go wrong with their top of the lineup bats if you can afford them.

Boston has Brian Johnson starting today, who did pick up the win in his spot start back in April, but allowed four earned runs in five innings, including two homers. Yes, Seattle is towards the bottom when facing left handed pitching, batting just .215 versus LHP this season (Rank: 28th of 30 in MLB), while having homered every 63.4 at bats when facing left-handed pitchers this season (Rank: 29th of 30 in MLB). Johnson has pitched well in the minors this season, but I’m a big fan of full game stacks, and this game checks in as tied for the highest game total of the slate.

Top Stack Suggestions:

Boston: Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, Mitch Moreland, Jackie Bradley Jr.

Seattle: Nelson Cruz, Jean Segura, Taylor Motter, Guillermo Heredia

Alternative to this stack: Full game stack of Cincy at Philly

White Sox paired with Angels

Update: Fulmer is now starting over Farmer for game one today. He’s a much better pitcher, but the Sox implied run total did increase slightly with the news.

These are two teams facing the two lowest priced pitchers on FD, and in the bottom four on DK. Both these teams have shown the ability to put up double digit runs, and check in with affordable price tags.

The Sox are up against Buck Farmer, who will make his first start this season, and will try for his first big league win. He hasn’t won in eight starts over his career, but compiled an 9.68 ERA in those starts. The White Sox need to be more consistent from the plate in the long run, having an OBP of just .292 versus RHP this season (Rank: 28th of 30 in MLB), but we just want them to come through today. They are underdogs at the moment, and not against using Detroit in a full game stack here, especially if Miggy is back in the lineup.

The Angels face Vance Worley, who made his first start with the Marlins this past Sunday. He allowed three runs in just four innings of pitching. Before then, he had a 4.43 ERA in Triple A. Similar to Seattle, the Angels have struggled on the road this season, and lose the DH spot during this interleague matchup so we may see a double swap or two later in the game. Maldonado is a steal on DK for $2.1K, and paired with Trout comes out to be $700 cheaper than Realmuto and Stanton.

Top Stack Suggestions:

White Sox: Jose Abreu, Todd Frazier, Avisail Garcia, Yolmer Sanchez (if leadoff), Melky Cabrera

Angels: Mike Trout, Martin Maldonado, Kole Calhoun, Andrelton Simmons

*Alternative to this stack: Full game stack of Detroit/Chicago or Nationals paired with Angels

Evening Slate: Tonight’s evening slate features four teams that were shut out last night, and another three teams that scored 2 or less runs. The pitching is much more all around solid, leaving only the Cardinals and Rockies in Coors field tonight as game to target. The Cardinals struggled last night the same as they have been for most of the season, while the Rockies continue to put up runs. You’ll have to pay up for him, but Charlie Blackmon leads the way for Colorado, while the Cards may provide a cheaper option or two once they release their lineups. I believe you should have exposure to this game, but if looking to be different, take a look at the Braves at Giants.

Braves and Giants

These teams battled for a 2-0 game last night in which the pitcher was the only player to record an rbi in the Marine layer conditions out West. Michael Foltynewicz takes his three start win streak to the Bay, and swept the Giants in two starts last year. The good news is that the Giants have some nice BvP numbers, with Posey, Belt, and Crawford combining to go 9-26 with 7 HR’s off Folty.

The Giants starter Tyson Blach has pitched well at home, allowing just five runs off 17 hits in 26 innings pitched as a starter. While the Braves have never faced him, they have also barely faced a left handed pitcher this season. Tonight will be their fourth game facing one this season, and they have hit lefties well this season, having an OPS of .798 versus LHP this season (Rank: 5th of 30 in MLB; League). Using Belt from the Giants means we don’t have to worry about Adams, and can target Phillips and Kemp, whiling waiting to see if they throw in a value option over their to left handed OF starters. No need to force a player, so if you have extra salary, feel free to take a player or two from the Coors field game to complete your lineup.

Top Stack Suggestions:

Giants: Brandon Belt, Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford, Joe Panik

Braves: Matt Kemp, Brandon Phillips, Dansby Swanson, potential value option.

Alternative to this stack: Four two man mini-stacks from this game and game at Coors.
