NBA Injury Report:  Week of December 5

Atlanta:  Paul Millsap has been dealing with hip soreness, and has missed his last three games.  He will be a gate time decision for Monday’s game against the Thunder.  Tiago Splitter was originally schedule for a mid-November return after being diagnosed with a grade 2 hamstring sprain in October, but will remain out for at least another six weeks.

Chicago:   Doug McDermott has finally been cleared to practice after suffering two concussions last month.  He will be practicing with their D-League team early this week before re-joining the Bulls if all goes well.

Dallas:   Dirk Nowitzki’s status has now changed to out indefinitely due to his achilles injury.   Reports show him not returning until at least December 20th, but Dallas will make sure Dirk is fully recovered before taking any chances.  Seth Curry has missed his last two games with a knee injury, and is considered questionable for Monday’s game against the Hornets.

Denver:  Nikola Jokic has missed Denver’s last two games with an injured wrist, and is expected to miss their next two games as well. The Nuggets stated that they will be cautious with Jokic, and will remain out until he is fully healed.

Houston:  Trevor Arzia (Back) and Nene Hilario (Knee) are both considered day to day heading into Monday’s game against the Celtics.  Ariza left Friday’s game early, while Hilario has been out the past two games.

Los Angeles Lakers:   D’Angelo Russell is progressing nicely from his knee injury, and could return as early as Wednesday’s game.  Jose Calderon will miss Monday’s game against the Jazz with a hamstring issue, and will be considered day to day for the rest of the week.  Nick Young had an MRI that revealed a strained calf muscle that will keep him out between two to four weeks.  Larry Nance Jr missed Saturday’s game with a knee injury, and is considered questionable for Monday’s game.

Memphis:  Zach Randolph will miss his seventh straight game on Monday as he remains on leave due to the passing of his mother.  Vince Carter will miss his fourth game on Monday due to a hip injury, and has no set return date.  James Ennis has missed seven straight games as well, and will have his calf strain be re-evaluated today.  Consider him out for at least the next few games.  Mike Conley is expected to be out until mid-January with fractures to his lower back.

Miami:   Justise Winslow (wrist) and Josh Richardson (Ankle) are both considered game time decisions for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.  Dion Waiters had a MRI that revealed a groin tear, and will now be out for at least two weeks while recovering.

New York:  Courtney Lee has missed the last two games with ankle issues, and will be day to day heading into Tuesday’s game against the Heat.

Oklahoma City:  Steven Adams left Sunday’s game early with a sprained ankle, and is considered questionable for Monday’s game against Atlanta.

Philadelphia:   Robert Covington was out for Saturday’s game after leaving Friday’s game early with a knee sprain.  He should be considered day to day heading into Monday night’s game.  Jerryd Bayless is questionable for Monday night’s game as he seeks alternative treatment to avoid season ending surgery on his wrist.  He has missed 17 of their 20 games this season.

San Antonio:  Tony Parker   is listed as day to day heading into Monday night’s game against the Bucks with a left quad contusion.  He was a healthy DNP-CD last Wednesday, then ruled out for last Friday’s game.

Utah:  George Hill will miss Monday’s game against the Lakers with a sprained left toe.  It will be his third straight missed game, with a return to the court possibly on Tuesday, but more likely for Thursday’s game against Golden State.
