Happy Friday, everyone. Apologies for the mysterious two-day absence here in the middle of the week, but a visit to one of the most sadistic dentists I’ve ever encountered was in order and that dude wiped me out. I’d share in the details, but who wants to spend their Friday reading about bone saws and roots being ripped from your mouth? I certainly don’t need to re-live it, so let’s just get back to the world of baseball. Here’s a look at Friday’s slate of pitchers and some of my favorites for the night.

Felix Hernandez, SEA – The strikeout rate ain’t what it used to be, but with the Twins fanning 23.3-percent of the time and posting just a .303 wOBA against righties, I’ll put my money on Felix posting a fourth-straight quality start here.
Jon Lester, CHC – The Phillies are sitting on a .285 wOBA with a weak 76 wRC+ over the last week. Their struggles against lefties have been prominent all year and Lester, though not available on Fantasy Aces, should dominate them for the afternoon.
Masahiro Tanaka, NYY – While the Rays have been hot lately, their 26.3-percent strikeout rate and 21st-ranked .309 wOBA against righties should be exposed by Tanaka in this one. He faced them back in late April and made quick work of them as he allowed just two runs over seven innings with a 7:1 K:BB.
Adam Conley, MIA – A little bothersome that he hasn’t pitched beyond the sixth inning in any of his four starts here in May and those seven walks issued in his last outing were downright atrocious, but a match-up with the lowly Braves seems to be the cure-all for what ails pitchers. Their .257 wOBA and 23.5-percent strikeout rate against southpaws this season always makes a pitcher feel good. He’ll be the chalk tonight, so watch out for those GPP ownership percentages.
Michael Fulmer, DET – While everyone will be on Conley, give a look to Fulmer for your GPP work tonight. The A’s are posting a .297 wOBA against righties this year and over the last week, that number has dropped to .248. Yup, .248 wOBA over the last seven days. No, that is not a typo. If Fulmer can build off his last start where he held the Rays to one run over seven innings, this one should be a cake walk.
Julio Urias, LAD – OK, folks. Here’s what you’ve all been clamoring for. It’s Urias time and it’s coming up against a Mets team whose .305 wOBA and 28.8-percent strikeout rate over the last week leaves very little to be desired. Just keep in mind that the 19-year old phenom is likely to be limited to around 90 pitches here and if the Mets show even just a little bit of patience at the plate, we may not see more than five innings.
Robbie Ray, ARI –Looking for a dart to throw? How about Ray against the Padres? His wOBA splits against right-handed hitters is high, but the Padres continue to struggle with a disgusting .255 wOBA over the last week with a 26.5-percent strikeout rate against left-handed pitching.
