We know how so many of you love your split slates, so happy Wednesday to those of you super-excited about having an early slate and the ability to check your phone throughout the day. I’ve split them up here for convenience, but obviously you’ve got All-Day games on FanDuel and Draft Kings, so everyone is in play. Here’s a look at what we’ve got:

Felix Hernandez, SEA – The A’s have just a .291 wOBA with a 21.4-percent strikeout rate over the last seven days and those numbers are right where they are against right-handed pitching all year. They also have averaged just 1.5 runs per game over their last four.
Stephen Strasburg, WAS – With a .pathetic .261 wOBA and a near 20-percent strikeout rate over the last seven days, the Royals aren’t scaring anyone right now, least of all, Strasburg. Add in a 0.50 ISo and you know there are no balls leaving the yard today.
Steven Matz, NYM – He’s obviously going to be super-chalky today facing the Braves. It may not be the best for GPP tournaments, but he’s definitely a must for cash games.
Tyler Chatwood, COL – I wouldn’t touch him if the game were in Colorado, but in San Diego, where the Padres have just a .271 wOBA and 22.7-percent K-rate, Chatwood becomes a nice low-cost option. He may have his issues with a couple of righties like Matt Kemp, but then again, this San Diego team is fanning at an awful 31.8-percent rate over the past week.
Anibal Sanchez, DET – I don’t love using Sanchez and will probably use Chatwood over him in tournament play, but the match-up here against the Tribe isn’t bad if you consider Cleveland’s .282 wOBA and 25.5-percent strikeout rate over the last seven days.

Drew Smyly, TB – Obviously banking on the fact that Smyly has better stuff than Matt Moore. Yeesh, what a nightmare that was. But while the Dodgers’s numbers against lefties are right around league average, they’re still posting just a .267 wOBA and 22-percent strikeout rate over the past week. Perhaps the boys in blue used up all their runs for the week in yesterday’s game.
Carlos Rodon, CHW – The Red Sox are atrocious against lefties, posting just a .253 wOBA and 24.2-percent strikeout rate against them this season. Jose Quintana made quick work of them yesterday and while he’s a little more polished than Rodon, this youngster should be able to fare well against Boston too. He should also see some nice run support with the Pale Hose facing Clay Buchholz.
Mike Leake, STL – The Phillies bats had woken up for a short time but are back to sleep as evidence by their .265 wOBA and miserable 58 wRC+ over the last seven days. They’re only fanning at a 21.2-percent rate right now, but Leake should still be able to go far into the game if they don’t work every count on him.
Tyler Wilson, BAL – Looking for a late-slate dart? Have we seen how bad the Yankees offense looks right now? Wilson may not shut them down completely, but the Yankees have lost six in a row, seven of their last eight and are averaging just two runs per game over that span. They’ll come out of it at some point, but for now, I’ll take a $3 Moonshot chance that it’s not tonight.
