**Update** A pivot has been added to the cash lineup today.

AAA 400 Drive for Autism

Dover international Raceway

Last week, Charlotte Motor Speedway played host to the longest race of the season in the Coca-Cola 600. In the end Austin Dillon took the number-3 car to victory lane after a gas mileage race broke out in the last 70 laps of the race. Martin Truex Jr. once again led the most laps, 213, but finished in third place behind Dillon and a salty Kyle Busch. It was in fact the first time the number-3 car had won a race since Dale Earnhardt won his final race with it at Talladega in 2000. Unfortunately, it was not as great a day as it could have been lineups-wise as both Brad Keselowski and Kyle Larson crashed out of the race at varying points.

The NASCAR schedule approaches the halfway point this week as the racing heads to the tiny state of Delaware and Dover International Speedway. The “Monster Mile” is known for being a tough track to get around by most and is only one of three tracks on the schedule that is a mile in length. Dover is also one of only a handful of tracks made of concrete rather than asphalt, adding another trick to the equation of figuring out the track. The mile long oval has turned banked at 24 degrees allowing for the carrying of speed through the corners and making passing a bit tougher to do. Only six drivers in the field have +6 positional differentials or better this week and that number goes to eight when including +5 marks as well.

Typically at Dover, 88% of eventual winners come from the top-five on the grid and overall 90% of the laps here have been run under green. With the way that practice speeds and qualifying ran Friday and Saturday, the front of the pack drivers should stick up front for much of, if not all, the race on Sunday. The distance supposes that there will be a laps led dominator again this week, so looking at the practice runs, and the 10-lap averages can help you figure out who those drivers might be.

Down below are my lineups for both Draft Kings and NASCAR Live but as usual I will also be playing on Boom Fantasy this week too. The series of questions this week ask for you to pick the driver who will earn the most points during each stage of the race, which driver will lead the most laps, earn the most points overall, and the finishing position for Jimmie Johnson. The seventh question is a crossover question asking you to predict who will have more hits in the Yankees-Blue Jays game on Sunday between Starlin Castro, Aaron Judge, Kevin Pillar, and Josh Donaldson.

DFS Playbook

DriverDraft KingsNASCAR LiveDescription
Jimmie Johnson$10,600$26.75Johnson is the preeminet driver on this track. He has 10 career wins and 3,000+ laps led, triple the next closest. He starts P18 on Sunday and should be in both formats.
Kyle Busch$10,400$27.00Busch has been one of the fastest cars all week and starts from the pole. He has two top-fives and two top-10s with 128 laps led in the last four races. He does go backwards though
Kyle Larson$10,300$27.25Larson has another fast car this week and will start P5 on Sunday. He has two top-fives and three top-10s in the last four with a near +6 positional differential. Cash or GPP work
Kevin Harvick$10,100$27.75Harvick is a pretty good 1-mile driver though more at New Hampshire. He has a win, two top-fives, and 563 laps led in the last four races. He is a GPP play this week with his speed
Martin Truex Jr.$9,900$28.00Truex is starting P2 on Sunday after running top-five in every practice. He has a win, three top-10s and 365 laps led here lately and should be a must play this week again
Chase Elliott$9,600$26.50Elliot has two third place finishes here in the last two races and is decently quick again this week. He has been solid and makes for a good cash or GPP play, a bit pricey though
Matt Kenseth$9,500$24.50Kenseth has a win, two top-fives, and three top-10s here in the last four races. He does beat JJ in top-fives, top-10s and top-20s historically. He has a top-five capable car Sunday
Ryan Blaney$8,700$20.25Blaney is showing speed once more this week but doesn't have a great history here. He averages a 23rd place finish in the last two races at Dover. He is worth a shot in a GPP lineup
Kurt Busch$8,300$21.25Kurt has been Mr. Consistent in pracitce and qualifying this week and does have a top-five and top-10 here lately. He does tend to move backwards so a GPP play is what he is
Jamie McMurray$8,200$23.00McMurray has a fast car this week, top-10 in most practices and has a top-five and two top-10s here in the last two years. A mid-tier value play in either format is good for him
Kasey Kahne$7,700$21.00Kahne has disappeared much of the season thus far but has a very good history here. One of the best positional differential guys in the field this week, he is still a risk and GPP only
Ricky Stenhouse Jr.$7,600$16.25Stenhouse has a top-10 in the last four races here but could be looking at another one this week with the speed he's shown. A mid-tier price for a mid-tier driver seems fitting
Daniel Suarez$7,100$17.75The rookie has been very solid this year and now will start P3 on Sunday. Given the speed he has shown in practice this week, he should be able to stick near the front of the pack
Michael McDowell$5,700$9.75McDowell is a budget play who has gained +8 spots in positional differentail in the last four races here. He shouldn't factor in the outcome of the race but can snag solid points
David Ragan$5,100$7.00Ragan is a similar driver to McDowell this week and offers pretty much the same upside from far down the salary list. His inclusion is simply to save money and boost PD points
