Alshon Jeffery Headshot

NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported that there's no merit to trade rumors involving Alshon Jeffery.

It hasn't been a great season for Jeffrey this season. His quarterback situation hasn't been ideal, but at the same point, Jeffrey has yet to sustain any real success this season. At this point, he should be looked upon as a WR2 moving forward, not a top-tier option.

Myles White Headshot

Jets released WR Myles White from the practice squad.

White played his college ball at Louisiana Tech and today, the Jets decided to release him from the practice squad. He's useless in all fantasy formats.

Reshard Cliett Headshot

Jets signed LB Reshard Cliett to the practice squad.

The team decided to bring former Houston Texans linebacker onto the practice squad. Offensive linemen Kyle Friend was also signed to the practice squad, while Myles White was released.

Kyle Friend Headshot

Jets signed C Kyle Friend to the practice squad.

Friend was with the team during the preseason as an undrafted free agent, so it makes sense that they bring him back. He played his college ball at Temple and he will need an injury or two if he wants to be promoted to the active roster.

Chase Farris Headshot

Patriots released OL Chase Farris from the practice squad.

The team signed Anthony Johnson to the practice squad so a subsequent move had to be made. Farris will hope to sign with another organization in need of some depth up front. Farris played his college ball at Ohio State.

Eli Rogers Headshot

Eli Rogers did not play against the Patriots because he was being disciplined by Coach Mike Tomlin for unspecified reason.

Rogers had a lot of hope coming into the season, but he hasn't lived up to any hype thus far. He has just 13 receptions and one touchdown on the season. It's time to move on from Rogers in most formats.

Anthony Johnson Headshot

Patriots signed DL Anthony Johnson to the practice squad.

Johnson was released from the 53-man roster on Monday, cleared waivers Tuesday and was re-signed to the team's practice squad on Wednesday. New England released offensive lineman Chase Farris in a subsequent move.

Alex Len Headshot

Alex Len will come off the bench Wednesday.

Last season, Len averaged nine points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Len and Tyson Chandler should serve as a formidable duo in the paint for the Phoenix Suns. His production in the points department may be limited, but if all goes well, he'll average close to 10 rebounds per game this season.

Jordan Clarkson Headshot

Jordan Clarkson will come off the bench Wednesday.

Regardless of whether or not he starts, Clarkson is going to get his fair share of minutes. The guard averaged 15.5 points per game last season, but fantasy owners need to understand he doesn't do much outside of the points department. He's still a reliable fantasy asset, so don't look too much into the label of starter or sixth man.

Nick Young Headshot

Nick Young is in the Lakers starting lineup Wednesday.

Young is a more than adequate from long range and he will get the luxury of playing with the starting unit in the season opener. Jordan Clarkson is still the more valuable fantasy asset, but we can't ignore the fact that Young is the one getting the nod in the starting five.
