There has been no official decision to place David Wright on the disabled list yet.

Wright divulged on Monday, after the game, that he is dealing with a herniated disk in his neck and thus the reason for missing the last three games. He also said that he was going to talk with the medical staff again on Tuesday to see what the next course for him would be. That being said, it is expected that he will land on the DL as herniated disks often take longer than just a few days to go away. If he does land on shelf for a few weeks, Ty Kelly and Wilmer Flores should see a lot of time at the hot corner in his place.

Caleb Joseph (groin) was placed on the 15-day disabled list.

He took a foul tip off the groin in Monday's game and then headed to the hospital to get it checked out. Apparently that check resulted in him being out for a bit while he tries and heals up. The exact injury is unknown, and for good reason, so that makes it tough to figure out exactly how long he will be out for. Francisco Pena will be the backup catcher in Joseph's absence.

Branden Albert is down to 313 LBS.

Albert, coming off a Pro Bowl season at left tackle, is listed as 320 pounds so this is a loss about 7-10 pounds. There was no real reason given for the statement, that was made a press availability during Tuesday's OTA session, but in all likelihood it's an effort for him to stay healthy through a season, as he's only played 16 games once and has missed nine games the last two years in Miami. It could also help him get more athletic and be able to run a different blocking scheme for run plays that new Head Coach Adam Gase prefers over the past system. Either way, healthier players tend to play better over the long run so it should be a win-win for everyone involved.

Carlos Gomez is in the Astros starting lineup Tuesday.

Welcome back from the disabled list Carlos Gomez. He was placed on it with a rib issue that has now subsided. Though he is back in the lineup, it's in the seventh spot, which is where he batted prior to the injury, but he may not get out of that spot if he doesn't start hitting like he did last season. Before going on the DL, he posted a .182 AVG which is horrendous and will need a lot of improvement before he becomes roster worthy again, stashing him should be done however if he is available in your league.

Colby Rasmus is not in the Astros starting lineup Tuesday.

Two things are going on here, one is that the Astros are facing a lefty in Patrick Corbin on Tuesday and the second is that Carlos Gomez is back in the lineup after being on the DL with a rib issue. Rasmus has struggled against LHP going just 5-for-34 this season, about a hundred points lower than his AVG vs. RHP. He should see time in left field in a platoon role against righties the rest of the way.

Red Sox option RHP Heath Hembree to Triple-A Pawtucket.

With Clay Buchholz demoted to the bullpen the Red Sox were forced to make tough decision by demoting Heath Hembree to Triple-A after activating Eduardo Rodriguez from the disabled list. Hembree has been one of the better arms in the Red Sox bullpen this season, going 2-0 with a 2.14 ERA while striking out 18 over 21 innings pitched.

Red Sox activate LHP Eduardo Rodriguez from the 15-day disabled list

A knee injury landed Rodriguez on the disabled list early in spring training and after months of rehab he is finally ready to contribute to the Red Sox in 2016. Rodriguez had a solid rookie season going 10-6 with a 3.85 ERA over 21 starts but if you look deeper into his rookie year you will notice that 30 of his 52 earned runs came in four of his 21 starts leaving him with an impressive 1.86 ERA over the remaining 17 starts. Rodriguez was tipping his pitches during these poor outings and after making a correction in his delivery he went 4-1 with a 2.08 ERA over his final seven starts of the year. Fantasy owners should grab Rodriguez if he is floating around the waiver wire as he has solid upside and the expectation is that he could be the Red Sox second best pitcher when healthy.

Diamondbacks saw enough in Edwin Escobar to assure him another start.

This is weird that the Diamondbacks camp saw enough assure him another start when Escobar allowed 10 hits and seven earned runs over 3.1 in his first start on Monday.
