Fantasy Baseball Prospect Report: High-A Highlights

Mariners are targeting a return after the All-Star break for Felix Hernandez (calf).

This has been a mediocre season up to this point for Hernandez. His 2.86 ERA is solid, but he's seen a decrease in strikeouts and an increase in walks. The fact that he's had an extended trip on the disabled list doesn't help matters. When he does return, King Felix should be completely healthy. We'll see if he can get back to the level he was at in previous years or if he's actually fallen off a bit.

According to sources close to the Thunder, the team is in "strong position" to re-sign unrestricted free agent Kevin Durant.

Durant still has several meetings lined up in the coming days, but it's been long assumed that OKC would have the advantage in negotiations. It's possible that Durant will sign a one-year deal with the Thunder and then package himself along with Russell Westbrook on the free agent market next summer. This is a fascinating situation on the surface, but could ultimately end without much drama. Stay tuned.
