Mike Wallace Headshot

Wallace (back) did not take part in Friday's practice, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Wallace said Thursday that he plans to play Sunday despite his sore back, but after getting in a limited workout Wednesday, he was unable to practice at all at either of the Ravens' final two sessions of the week. The Ravens will reveal his official status for Week 7 following Friday's practice.

Craig Anderson Headshot

Anderson made 41 saves on 46 shots in Thursday's overtime loss to the Oilers.

Anderson turned in a strong outing, but it wasn't quite good enough, as the Senators dropped a 5-4 decision. The veteran has given up eight goals in back-to-back losses, seeing his save percentage drop to .917 on the season. Anderson is the starter in Ottawa, but with Mike Condon pitching a 36-save shutout in his only start this season, the Sens might be willing to give Anderson some nights off in the near-future. Anderson still remains a very valuable fantasy asset, however, and is worth inserting into your lineup whenever he gets the call.

Josh Gorges Headshot

Gorges (undisclosed) missed morning skate Friday, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.

Having missed the a.m. skate for two consecutive days, Gorges' availability for Friday's home tilt against the Canucks appears muddy at best. However, we still recommend waiting for an official determination from the Sabres. The B.C. native is primarily an own-zone contributor who's collected nine blocked shots through four games.
11:53 am (EST)
Tyler Eifert Headshot

Eifert (back), who underwent season-ending surgery last week, isn't expected to face any limitations heading into the 2018 campaign, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

With Eifert's doctors indicating the tight end endured no complications during the procedure, he should be in line for a normal offseason as he enters free agency for the first time in his career. Despite the supposed clean bill of health, Eifert's history of back problems -- last week's surgery was his third since entering the NFL -- will likely limit his earning potential even though he's been one of the league's more productive tight ends when he's taken the field. In 39 career games, Eifert has compiled 20 touchdowns while averaging 12.1 yards per reception.
11:50 am (EST)
Robin Lehner Headshot

Lehner (illness) resumed skating Friday morning, ahead of a home clash with the Cancuks, Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald reports.

According to Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550, regular No. 2 backstop Chad Johnson is designated as the starter for this next contest, and we're waiting to see whether Lehner will at least be available as the backup. An official determination should be made closer to pregame warmups.
11:48 am (EST)
Stanley Johnson Headshot

Johnson (back) did not participate in shootaround and his status for Friday's game against the Wizards remains unclear, Rod Beard of The Detroit News reports.

Johnson was also held out of Thursday's practice as he continues to deal with lingering back issues. He'll likely test out the injury in pregame warmups before a final decision is made, but it doesn't appear likely that Johnson will be active Friday night. If he is ruled out, the Pistons will likely go big with their starting lineup and put Tobias Harris at small forward and Jon Leuer at the four position.
11:45 am (EST)
Sammy Watkins Headshot

It's expected that Patrick Peterson (quadriceps) will shadow Watkins for much of the Rams' game Sunday against the Cardinals, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Though the Cardinals' pass defense ranks 25th in the NFL with 250 passing yards allowed per game, a limited amount of that damage has come against Peterson, a three-time All Pro. Per Pro Football Focus, Peterson has graded out as the 25th-ranked cornerback in the NFL this season, whereas the team's other starting corner, Justin Bethel, ranks 98th. It's not expected that Peterson's injury will inhibit him much come Sunday, which could result in another depressed output for Watkins, who has practically been invisible over the Rams' last three games. In those contests, he's been targeted just 10 times in 167 snaps, hauling in two catches for 28 yards.
11:41 am (EST)
Derek Dorsett Headshot

Dorsett scored his second goal of the season and was tagged for 17 PIM in Thursday's loss to the Bruins.

Dorsett only skated 11:58 in the defeat, but he was sure to make his ice time count. The 30-year-old has racked up 17 PIM in each of his previous two outings and is now up to a whopping 42 PIM through six contests. Dorsett is capable of netting the occasional goal on Vancouver's fourth line, but it's his consistent PIM totals that make him worth owning in some very deep leagues.
11:41 am (EST)
Jameis Winston Headshot

Winston (shoulder) threw passes at Friday's practice, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Buccaneers have taken it easy with Winston this week, and they prevented him from throwing at all Thursday. However, he was able to resume throwing Friday; and based on a video via the source, without much issue. The Buccaneers will reveal Winston's status for Week 7 when they release their final injury report of the week following the conclusion of Friday's practice.
11:36 am (EST)
Bo Horvat Headshot

Horvat potted his third goal of the season in Thursday's loss to the Bruins.

Horvat had gone quiet over the last four games after netting a pair of goals in the season opener. The 22-year-old is a very capable goal scorer, but his recent lack of power-play time is a tad concerning. Horvat is currently centering the third line and has been removed from the man advantage, but it seems like this could be a temporary strategy to get the youngster going again. We wouldn't be too concerned, as Horvat looked great Thursday and should get back on track in no time.
