Jimmy Butler (thumb) is scheduled to be re-evaluated next week.

While the injury is considered minor, the Bulls held Butler out of Friday's exhibition game and he could miss the season opener as well. Expect the team to evaluate him Monday and make a decision as to his playing status. Even if he misses the opener, he is not expected to miss much time.

Ronnie Price left Friday's game with a sore right knee and will not return.

So apparently there's a curse on the Lakers point guard position because these guys can't stay healthy. Jeremy Lin is dealing with an ankle issue still, Steve Nash's body is failing him and now Price injures his knee. Now, it could be minor and the team is being over-cautious given their injury problems, but we'll have to wait for a further examination to see the actual extent of the injury.

Robert Vaden was signed by the Spurs on Friday.

Vaden was signed for the D-League, not the 15-man roster. He's got some nice upside, but he's going to have to consistently prove himself if he wants to advance in any way.

Update: Luke Ridnour left Friday's game with a right quadriceps contusion.

Ridnour left the game with a right quadriceps contusion, and will likely undergo some more tests to determine the severity of the issue. That being said, it looks like he didn't suffer a very serious injury, and he will likely be fine for his team's first regular season game.

Ty Lawson (hamstring) will not play on Friday. Eric Green will get the start.

Lawson injured his hamstring recently, and while it isn't a serious problem, he'll get the night off to rest it. Eric Green will get a chance to show the Nuggets coaching staff what he can kind as he is getting the start Friday.

Jordan Farmar (back) is available off the bench on Friday.

It looks like Farmar's back issue is improving, as he can now play in a game if needed, though he's not ready to play for an extended period of time. While Farmar isn't 100% yet, he should be good to go by mid-next week.

Luke Ridnour went to the locker room with a knee injury.

He'll be evaluated for a leg issue after limping off the court. He's likely done for the game, but we should be updated on his injury soon.

Jamal Crawford will not play on Friday.

Crawford is simply getting some rest. He should be back in the lineup next week.

Carlos Boozer (rest) and Jordan Hill (neck) will not play on Friday.

Neither player has a serious issue, but the Lakers are resting both players for Friday's game. Boozer and Hill should be back on the court for their next game.
