Though not yet confirmed by the team, reliable sources have reported that Melky Cabrera has agreed to a three-year deal with the White Sox, pending a physical.
When last we left Melky, he was fighting for a five-year deal with the mariners. But apparently, when he finally accepted the fact that no one was going to give him that long of a contract, he immediately grabbed what is likely his best three-year offer from a team with an extremely favorable hitter's park. Monetary terms have no been disclosed but early speculation has it somewhere around $45 million. If you're a Melky fan, then this is a great move for fantasy purposes as he is likely to bat second in a lineup that features the power of Jose Abreu and Adam LaRoche.
