Manager Robin Ventura suspects Adam LaRoche would play first twice a week next season.

With superstar Jose Abreu firmly entrenched at first base, LaRoche is going to primarily DH for the White Sox. This development is probably going to help both players as Abreu will be able to stay fresh and LaRoche will get to play the field as he has done during the first 11 years of his career. LaRoche has been an underrated fantasy commodity in recent years and should be in for a solid season in hitter-friendly U.S. Cellular Field.

White Sox designate RHP Scott Carroll for assignment.

Adam LaRoche was signed over the weekend by the White Sox and to make room for him on the roster, Scott Carroll was let go by the team. He should draw some interest but do not expect big things from the veteran.

White Sox signed 1B Adam LaRoche to a two year, $25 million contract.

LaRoche, normally a first baseman, projects to move to DH with the White Sox, as young stud Jose Abreu will be occupying first base for many years to come. Laroche had a very solid season with the Nationals in 2014, batting .259 with 26 home runs and 92 RBI, but at 35 Washington was willing to let him walk. He'll provide a great boost to the heart of the White Sox's order and will hopefully add protection for Abreu's numbers.

White Sox outright OF Jared Mitchell to Triple-A Charlotte.

Mitchell's time with the White Sox appears to be over as they shuffle their roster prior to December's Rule 5 Draft.

White Sox claimed P Onelki Garcia off waivers from the Dodgers.

Garcia didn't pitch last year due to arthroscopic left elbow surgery, but was ranked the Dodgers' No. 9 prospect by Baseball America a season ago. If he can prove to stay healthy, he will likely get a shot in the White Sox' bullpen next season.

White Sox added P Francellis Montas, 3B Rangel Ravelo, C Kevan Smith and SS Tyler Saladino to their 40-man roster.

The White Sox are setting up their roster for the Rule 5 draft. Nothing relevant in fantasy here right now.

White Sox designated Ronald Belisario for assignment.

The White Sox are obviously clearing a spot on their 40-man roster for someone. Belisario, Who posted a 5.56 ERA with eight saves last season, may very well refuse this assignment and become a free agent. Expect a decision soon.

Zach Duke officially signs a three-year, $15 million deal with the White Sox.

The once promising prospect for the Pirates has finally found a niche as a left-hander specialist in 2014 with the Brewers. He put together a 2.45 ERA and 74/17 K/BB ratio over 58 innings of work. Left handers hit to the tune of .198/.267/.302 against him. Duke should help a White Sox bullpen that's in need of a makeover.

Jose Abreu is the unanimous winner of the American League Rookie of the Year Award.

As expected, Jose Abreu unanimously won the American League Rookie of the Year Award. The Cuban slugger seemed like a polished hitter the moment he stepped into the batters box on opening day and didn't disappoint, hitting .307 with 36 HR's and 107 RBI.
