As expected, Matt Lindstrom (ankle) threw live batting practice Thursday. He will likely throw a simulated game before a rehab assignment.

Lindstrom has been out of action since going down with an ankle injury on May 19, but is inching closer to making his return to the White Sox bullpen. He is still a couple of weeks away from being activated at the earliest and once back in the mix will likely be put back in the closer role immediately. Those in deep leagues will want to stash him now if looking for help in the saves category.

White Sox recall RHP Andre Rienzo from Triple-A Charlotte.

With Zach Putnam hitting the DL, Rienzo will come up and fill in as depth in the bullpen. He'll likely start in some low-leverage situations to start. No fantasy value here folks as it should be Jacob Petricka in the closer's role next.

White Sox place RHP Zach Putnam on 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.

Time to grab Jacob Petricka is you're desperately chasing saves right now as he should be the guy to fill in for Putnam, who will be re-evaluated over the next few days to see if this is just a 15-day thing or potentially something longer.

Jose Quintana with yet another no-decision Wednesday despite limiting the Royals to one run on seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts over seven innings of work.

Should expect anything less than a no-decision from Q, who leads the majors in that category since the start of the 2012 season. Those in the "Kill the Win" club if you need a mascot or a poster child here's your guy. He has a record of 14-14 in 54 starts over the last two seasons despite an ERA under 3.50, (pitching in the American League makes that ERA even that much more impressive), and with a WAR of 3.7 last year and 3.4 this year (He and teammate Chris Sale had the two highest combined WAR totals of any other starters in baseball last year outside of the Tigers Anibal Sanchez and Max Scherzer, to give you a little perspective of just how good Q has been).

Dayan Viciedo (hamstring) was scratched from the White Sox starting lineup on Wednesday.

Viciedo was originally penciled in, but the hamstring was acting up on him in pre-game activities. Consider him day-to-day. Moises Sierra will handle the work in right field with Alejandro De Aza taking over in left.

Adam Eaton is riding a nine-game hit streak going into Wednesday's game against the Royals.

While Eaton is riding this streak, he's not really doing much but helping in the batting average category as he has no home runs, two RBI and just three runs scored in that span. He does have a pair of stolen bases but with his speed and these typo of on-base numbers, he should be contributing a little something extra.

Wednesday's starter for the White Sox Jose Quintana owns a 1.77 ERA in 40.2 innings to go with 46 strikeouts over his last six starts.

Quintana has been fantastic over these last six outings and the 46:11K:BB is what helps make it all the more impressive. Many will get hung up on the fact that he's only got two wins over that span, but given the fact that the White Sox are a struggling team, blown saves and poor run support are to be expected. The good thing is that he is still strongly contributing in three of the five main pitching categories and is likely to continue with a Wednesday match-up against the Royals.
