Suns are expected to waive guard Dionte Christmas.

Christmas was continuously outplayed by rookie teammate T.J. Warren in the Summer League and was going to find himself buried on the Suns' depth chart. They're better off signing someone else.

T.J. Warren dropped a game-high 26 points in Wednesday's Summer League loss to the Timberwolves.

Warren has been a scoring machine in summer league thus far. The reigning ACC Player of the Year has an excellent fantasy future as offense-first Small Forward in Phoenix. Unfortunately, he's more of a longer term fantasy play since the Suns recently re-signed PJ Tucker.

Anthony Tolliver agrees to two-year, $6 million deal with Suns.

Having lost Channing Frye, the Suns were looking for another guy capable of coming off the bench for 15-20 minutes per game and could be a decent long-range shooter. Tolliver filled that role for Charlotte last season and averaged 6.1 points and 1.6 three pointers per game.

Phoenix Suns top draft pick SF T.J. Warren has scored 48 points in 53 minutes of NBA Summer League play.

Warren is quickly showing that his game, which earned him ACC Player of the Year honors last year, can transition to the NBA. Unfortunately from a fantasy perspective his short-term value took a big hit when the Suns re-signed small forward P.J. Tucker. Warren is still worth targeting in dynasty leagues, but do not reach for him even if he continues to crush it in Vegas, as again his minutes and touches will be very limited in the early going of his career.

Update: Phoenix Suns GM Ryan McDonough said that Alex Len, right pinkie fracture, will not need surgery and will be able to engage in basketball activities in a couple weeks.

Len is a bench player that averaged just 8.6 MPG last season. Though he will miss the remainder of the summer league, he should be on track to begin the season with Phoenix and could see an increase in minutes this year.

Suns announce Ish Smith has been waived.

There was no room for Ish on the roster after the Suns signed point guard Isaiah Thomas and drafted a point guard in Tyler Ennis. He will likely find himself in the D-league because he is not a good player.

Vegas Summer League Day 3: Suns first-round draft pick T.J. Warren was limited to seven minutes in Sunday's game because he needed stitches above his right eye and had swelling.

T.J. Warren is a scorer in the truest sense of the word. On Saturday against the Warriors, he went 10-of-17 from the field for 22 points with four rebounds, one steal, one block and one turnover. Warren will fit in nicely with what the Suns will be doing with their dynamic back-court. The NC State product will have keeper appeal come draft time.

Vegas Summer League Day 3: Seth Curry scored a game-high 26 points on 7-of-9 shooting including 5-for-7 from the long line in about 22 minutes off the bench for the Suns.

This would be the first time in Curry's career that he has had an effective field goal percentage of greater than 100. He stands at 105.6 right now. The biggest problem for Seth is that he'll be battling in an already loaded back-court of the Suns.

Archie Goodwin scored 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, three steals, and one turnover in 27 minutes of Sunday's Summer League game against the Bucks.

This is the second year in a row that Goodwin will have problems getting court time with the emergence of Gerald Green last season and now the Suns add Isaiah Thomas which pushes Goodwin down the pecking order even further.

Update: Alex Len, right pinkie fracture, could be sidelined for as much as two months once the fracture is examined Monday in Phoenix.

Nothing has gone right for Len since being selected No. 5 overall in the 2013 draft out of the University of Maryland. Now, he has broken his finger in his first summer league game of the off-season. He missed 40 games his rookie season as he recovered from a surgically-repaired left ankle, but all signs point to him being ready for training camp.
