Kawhi Leonard has withdrawn from playing on Team USA. He said that it was a difficult decision, but needs time to rest his body.

Nothing wrong with that and we're pretty sure the Spurs are happy with the decision as well. After all, the FIBA World Cup isn't playing the contract.

Boris Diaw has re-signed with the San Antonio Spurs on a three-year deal.

The Spurs make a solid free agent signing, go figure! Diaw was a crucial role player for the Spurs during their championship run this past season and is a smart signing by the Spurs. He is a better real life player than a fantasy player.

Patty Mills had successful surgery to repair torn rotator cuff Thursday in Dallas; no timetable for return yet set.

Mills has already signed on to stay with the Spurs so this will have no effect on his offseason, save for the rehab work he'll do. He should be ready in tome for training camp which is really all that matters at this point.

Patty Mills and the Spurs have agreed to a 3-year contract.

Mills just underwent shoulder surgery that will keep him on the shelf for seven months but its good to see that it did not affect his signing ability. Mills filled various roles for the Spurs last year setting a career high in minutes per game with 18.9 while averaging 10.2 points off the bench.

Manu Ginobili has a stress fracture in his right leg and is unlikely to represent Argentina in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain this summer.

During the Spurs routine physical done after the season, they found "the early stages of a stress fracture" in Ginobili's right leg. Ginobili is currently getting a second opinion but the good news is that the 36-year-old is expected to recover in two months. He should be ready to go for training camp.

The Spurs have tendered qualifying offer to Aron Baynes, retaining right to match offers when free agency opens.

Baynes played in 53 games for San Antonio in 2013, but didn't contribute much down the stretch or in the playoffs. He had a few nice games early in the playoffs, but ultimately he was a warm body that saw a few minutes at the end of blowouts during the Spurs championship run.

With the No. 30 pick of the NBA draft the San Antonio Spurs select guard Kyle Anderson from UCLA.

The kid has some Andre Miller slow motion for you style to his offensive game, and is is an attractive prospect based on his 7-foot-2 wingspan (stands 6'9" with shoes on), ability to rebound, and his versatility to handle the ball and play multiple positions. As you can expect, it will likely take time for the former UCLA sophomore to develop and find his way in the Spurs system, but by the time he does the majority of the core from this year's NBA champion's squad will be entering retirement just in time for Anderson to be ready to be a starter in this league.
