Manu Ginobili says no rift with Spurs, could continue playing after this season.

Manu Ginobili said in an interview on Saturday that he is "98 percent" sure he won't play for the Argentinian national team. Ginobili went on to say that he only feels pain in his right leg from the stress fracture when jumping, pushing, or coming to a hard stop on the floor, otherwise he is pain free. Manu should be healthy by the start of the 2014-15 season.

The San Antonio Spurs to hire soon-to-retire WNBA player Becky Hammon as an assistant coach.

There's a reason the San Antonio Spurs are one of best organizations in the NBA. They have made a great decision by hiring former San Antonio Stars guard Becky Hammon an assistant coach. Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said in a statement, "Having observed her working with our team this past season, I'm confident her basketball IQ, work ethic and interpersonal skills will be a great benefit to the Spurs." She is 37 years old and will after her 16th season in the WNBA. She is a six-time All-Star and two-time first-team All-WNBA, is seventh in points, fourth in assists and sixth in games in WNBA history.

Update: Tony Parker signed a three-year, $43.3 million contract extension with the Spurs.

Should Parker walk away form basketball at the ripe old age of 35, he'll be quite the wealthy man. As stated in previous reports, there is little reason to believe that Parker can't post numbers similar to last season's averages based on how he is used in Greg Popvich's system.

Spurs announce a multi-year contract extension for Tony Parker.

While terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, is anyone surprised that the Spurs are locking up the 32-year old Parker so that he can remain a member of the organization for the duration of his career? Probably not. Last season, Parker averaged a solid 16.7 points, 5.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds over just 29.4 minutes per game and with his style of play and Greg Popovich's system, there's no reason to believe that he can't put those type of numbers up once again.

Kawhi Leonard has withdrawn from playing on Team USA. He said that it was a difficult decision, but needs time to rest his body.

Nothing wrong with that and we're pretty sure the Spurs are happy with the decision as well. After all, the FIBA World Cup isn't playing the contract.

Boris Diaw has re-signed with the San Antonio Spurs on a three-year deal.

The Spurs make a solid free agent signing, go figure! Diaw was a crucial role player for the Spurs during their championship run this past season and is a smart signing by the Spurs. He is a better real life player than a fantasy player.

Patty Mills had successful surgery to repair torn rotator cuff Thursday in Dallas; no timetable for return yet set.

Mills has already signed on to stay with the Spurs so this will have no effect on his offseason, save for the rehab work he'll do. He should be ready in tome for training camp which is really all that matters at this point.
