Fantasy Sports Player News | MLB, NBA, NFL

Terron Armstead (neck), defensive end Akiem Hicks (ankle) and safety Jamarca Sanford (hamstring) were unable to practice Friday and were all ruled questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

It wouldn;t be much of a surprise if none of them played as none of them were even expected to to,let alone practice Firday. Expect them all to be out or at least limited. No fantasy value is affected.

Saints DE Akiem Hicks (ankle), OT Terron Armstead (neck), S Jamarca Sanford (hamstring) missed practice on Thursday.

These players are fantasy irrelevant unless you are playing in deep IDP leagues. All three are candidates to miss Sunday's game against the Falcons.

Saints signed K Dustin Hopkins to the practice squad.

Apparently veteran kicker Shayne Graham is on the hot seat for the Saints so they signed young leg Dustin Hopkins to the practice squad as an insurance policy if Graham is still not able to get the job done.

Shayne Graham went 1-for-2 on field goals and successfully converted all four of his extra-point attempts during the Saints' 31-15 win over the Bears on Monday.

Despite being a part of one of the better offenses in the league, Graham has been far from a fantasy contributor all season, having scored in double-figures only two times since the Saints Week 6 bye. Unless stuck in a desperate situation there is really no reason for him to be owned heading into the final week of the fantasy season.

Josh Hill caught two passes for 15 yards and two touchdowns during the Saints' 31-15 win over the Bears on Monday.

Hill managed to finish Week 15 as the second-highest scoring tight end in standard league play, despite likely not being in anyone's fantasy lineups. Although this was a nice effort form Hill, it is going to be hard for him to duplicate this type of production so he should remain on the waiver wire in most instances.

Marques Colston caught five passes on seven targets for 65 yards and a touchdown on Monday against the Bears.

Colston has now found the end zone in three of his last four games as he continues to try and salvage what is left of a disappointing season. With a matchup against the Falcons on deck for Week 16, Colston remains a quality start in all formats considering Atlanta's struggles containing opposing receivers this season.

Kenny Stills caught five passes on seven targets for 67 yards against the Bears on Monday.

Stills was able to bounce back from a poor performance in Week 14 and has now logged four or more receptions in each four of his last five games. Although he is more of a boom or bust fantasy option, Stills is a solid start for Week 16 going up against a Falcons defense that has struggled against the pass all season long.

Jimmy Graham caught five passes on seven targets for 87 yards during the Saints' 31-15 win over the Bears on Monday.

Graham has now gone three straight weeks without a touchdown but was at least able to give his fantasy owners a solid stat line in the least. Although the last few weeks have been far from great, he still remains one of the best tight ends in the league and is a must-start bases on his red zone production heading into the final week of the fantasy season.

Khiry Robinson carried the ball three times for 10 yards and caught two passes for 10 yards during the Saints' Monday night win over the Bears.

This was Robinson's first time carrying the ball since Week 7 and while it was completely uneventful in the world of fantasy, knowing that he's going to see some of the work is Important as it adds to the number of mouths to feed in that New Orleans backfield. He's not exactly poaching big goal line carries here right now, but you simply don't know whose going to be getting the ball each time moving forward. Mark Ingram should be the lead back, but Pierre Thomas and Robinson are going to be mixed in a little more than just "every so often."

Pierre Thomas carried the ball twice for 11 yards and caught five passes for 83 yards against the Bears on Monday.

Just as we expected, Thomas saw most of the targets out of the backfield and reclaimed that Darren Sproles-like position on the team. Given the state of the NFC South, the Saints are very much a part of this playoff picture and will deploy their entire arsenal each week which means that Thomas can be considered a decent flex play, particularly in PPR leagues. Next week, the Saints take on the Falcons which should produce, at the minimum, a similar stat line.
