The Rockets picked up their fourth-year options on the rookie contracts of forwards Donatas Motiejunas and Terrence Jones, keeping them under contract through the 2015-16 season.

Obviously, Jones is the bigger name here and the Rockets will retain his services for at least another year. He has been starting at power forward for Houston for the better part of two years and is averaging 12.5 points and eight rebounds over his first two games of the season.

James Harden totals 18 points (6-8 FGA/ 1-5 3PA), 10 assists and seven rebounds in Wednesday's 104-93 win over the Jazz.

Harden was a first round pick in many fantasy leagues this year and owners are cashing in on their investment thus far. While he didn't score the 32 points he did in the opener again, he did add seven rebounds, and approach a triple-double. He recorded his first double-double of the year, and he is averaging 25 points through two games this season.

Trevor Ariza scored 20 points (7-10 FGA/ 4-7 3PA) while adding five rebounds and two steals in the Rockets 104-93 win over the Jazz.

Ariza was Houston's big free agent signing and is filling in exceptionally in Chandler Parsons' old spot. After putting up 16 points in his Rocket debut, he scored 20 on Wednesday, with two assists and four three pointers. Ariza will be a nice value pick as he is playing superbly thus far with superstars James Harden and Dwight Howard.

Dwight Howard posted a double-double, scoring 22 points (10-16 FGA), 10 rebounds and two blocks in Wednesday's 104-93 win over the Jazz.

Minus a typically paltry free throw percentage, Howard is arguably the best center in the NBA. Howard has recorded a double-double in the Rockets' first two games, and is averaging 26 minutes per game. Howard is also posting a solid stat line by averaging 17.5 points, and 10.5 rebounds a game thus far.

Nick Johnson did not play Tuesday due to a lower back strain and is not expected to play Wednesday.

The rookie has been battling a back strain and won't get into game action until he's feeling 100 percent. He's relatively far down the Rockets' depth chart and shouldn't be on fantasy radars at this point.

James Harden scored 32 points (7-17 FGA, 15-16 FTM) going 3-for-6 from three-point range with one rebound, six assists and one steal during the Rockets' 108-90 win over the Lakers on Tuesday.

About what you'd expect from Harden against an inferior team. He's reliably prolific in points, threes, and free throws while being a solid all-around contributor. There's no reason to think he can't sustain his numbers from the last two seasons.

Trevor Ariza scored 16 points (5-10 FGA, 1-1 FTM) going 5-for-8 from three-point range with three rebounds, two assists and two steals during the Rockets' 108-90.

The Rockets acquired Ariza to play defense and knock down three pointers. He won't make five a game, but he's entrenched as a starter on one of the fastest playing and most three point happy teams in the league. He's a must-start in all but the shallowest of leagues given his prolific shooting and the lack of options at small forward.

Patrick Beverly scored nine points (2-6 FGA, 3-6 FTM), shooting 2-for-3 from three-point range with five rebounds and five assists during the Rockets' 108-90 win over the Lakers on Tuesday.

Beverly's bulldog defense means he'll always be more valuable in real life than fantasy, especially at a position as deep as point guard. He'll usually put up better numbers than he did tonight, but he probably shouldn't start in leagues of any size and might not be rosterable in shallower leagues.

Terrence Jones scored 16 points (8-16 FGA, 0-1 FTA) going 0-1 from three-point range with 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots during the Rockets' 108-90 win over the Lakers.

Jones had excellent energy from the opening tip, and another year of growth combined with a more certain role should help him flourish this year. It's hard to get too excited about anyone exploiting the porous Lakers' defense, but Jones' combination of scoring, rebounding, and three point shooting should make him valuable in leagues of all size.
