The Houston Rockets are releasing Francisco Garcia.

Garcia has been a fantasy zero all season long, so nothing to see here.

Update: Timberwolves traded Corey Brewer and Ronny Turiaf to the Rockets in exchange for Troy Daniels. Turiaf could be sent to a third team.

While the Rockets get a nice upgrade here with Brewer who averaged 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals in 28 minutes per game, he may not be as effective a player with the Rockets who are a deeper and more-talented team. Daniels should see an increase in playing time with the Timberwolves and improve the little fantasy value he has. Turiaf is out for the season, so he's just a salary dump.

Trevor Ariza scored 10 points (0-4 3PA) grabbed eight rebounds, and recorded four steals in the Rockets 99-90 loss to the Pelicans on Thursday.

All throughout this season, the Rockets have lived and died by the three ball, and Thursday night was no different. His stat line may look solid, but the Rockets really missed Ariza's three point shooting against the Pelicans. Ariza has been one of the better marksmen from behind the arc this season as he has made the sixth most threes in the league, and it appears that without him being on his game, the Rockets are not nearly as dangerous as they appear. Look for Houston to try to bounce back on Friday in yet another tough game against the Hawks.

Dwight Howard scored 17 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and recorded three blocks as the Rockets lost to the Pelicans on Thursday night.

Howard played efficient basketball in a losing effort against the Pelicans. His stat line looks nice, but in crunch time, Superman could have looked for his shot or demanded for the ball a little more on Thursday night. From a fantasy perspective, it was good to see Howard back to being himself after a long layoff during his injury. Any fantasy owner will take a 17 point, 13 rebound, three block game any night of the week.

James Harden scored 21 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and recorded five assists in a losing effort on Thursday night.

Harden's struggles from the floor on Thursday night (8-23 FGA) were masked in the box score as he was able to still manage a 21-7-5 night. Where his struggles really showed up were in the final score, where the Rockets lost to the Pelicans by nine (99-90). When it became apparent that his shot wasn't falling, he should have looked to feed Howard more, but instead he tallied a poor shot selection and played porous defense as usual, which left the Rockets unable to answer the bell. Harden, up to this point has been having a MVP caliber season, so for this reason, he gets a pass on Thursday night. Don't expect another shooting struggle like this one from him any time soon.

Update: Donatas Motiejunas has returned to the game.

Motiejunas left Thursday's game with a minor eye issue, but has since returned. He shouldn't experience any further issues.

Donatas Motiejunas is headed to the locker room after getting hit in the eye.

Unless there is some type of damage to his eye, Motiejunas should likely be able to return relatively soon.

Dwight Howard will play Thursday against the Pelicans.

Howard is coming off a double-double effort on Wednesday ( 24 points, 16 rebounds). You need to get him in your roster before the game against the Pelicans starts.

Rockets coach Kevin McHale expects to have Jason Terry back on Saturday. He's been with his wife for the birth of their child.

Congratulations to Terry and his wife on the birth of their child. The reserve guard should be back on the court within a few days.
