Anthony Davis is practicing Tuesday with his right wrist wrapped.

Anthony Davis sprained his right wrist in Monday night's exhibition game but said afterwards that it was "fine." He wanted to return to the game but Monty Williams held him out, and as writers said at the time he never appeared to be in pain. Owners can continue drafting him anywhere between number one and three overall in your Fantasy Basketball Drafts. Check out the article about Anthony Davis' potential in 2014-15 in our Fantasy Alarm Basketball Draft Guide AVAILABLE NOW!

Update: Pelicans say Anthony Davis has right wrist sprain and will not return.

As I wrote earlier (just an inch or so below) he is prolly out of action until the regular season starts. No reason to take any chances now.

Anthony Davis sprained his right wrist and is questionable to return.

This is why teams don't play their top players in the preseason, to avoid injury. The starting power forward for the Pelicans is an important key to their season, so don't expect to see much more of him this preseason.

Eric Gordon (back) is expected to play in Monday's preseason game.

The fact that he is playing in the contest virtually confirms that he will be ready to play in their season opener. They play Orlando on October 28th, and he should be at full strength for the contest. Beware back injuries, as they can pop up at anytime. However, Gordon seems to be over the issue, for now at least.

Dionte Christmas was waived by the Pelicans on Friday.

Christmas struggled in his first year with the Suns last season and was waived in the offseason. The Pelicans took a shot on him but obviously that didn't work out here. He'll try to land with another team before the end of camp, but that's going to be a long shot.

Eric Gordon returned to practice after sitting out Thursday's game due to back spasms.

Gordon's back issues weren't considered too serious and his absence from the game Thursday was obviously more precautionary than anything else. He should be just fine moving forward.

Eric Gordon (back spasms) is not expected to play Thursday against the Thunder.

Tyreke Evans is starting with Gordon out. Gordon last season averaged 15.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds for the Pelicans last season.

Eric Gordon (back) is doubtful to play Thursday against Oklahoma City.

Gordon's back tightened up on him after Tuesday's exhibition game and he's been dealing with back spasms since. He'll be held out until he's back to 100-percent.so consider him day-to-day.

Tyreke Evans (hamstring) will not play Tuesday against Houston but hopes to be available Thursday against Oklahoma City.

Although he won't play Tuesday, it is believed that he will be the starter at small forward for the Pelicans. Coach Monty Williams envisions Evans playing 30 to 35 minutes at the small forward position. A starting spot gives a boost to Evans' fantasy value, as well as his dedication this off season to improving on his three point stroke.
