Ryan Anderson could play some small forward in specific situations this season.

Anderson averaged 19.8 points per game last season. If he sees time at the small forward position, that would be a 6'10'' small forward on the floor for the Pelicans. That would be an extremely big line up for the Pelicans, but something that they could tinker with.

Jrue Holiday says he doesn't feel 100 percent yet after undergoing surgery to correct a stress fracture in his right tibia.

This likely isn't the news the Pelicans wanted to hear after trading for Holiday prior to last year. If the Pelicans hope to contend they will need Holiday running the show at 100%.

Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans will miss 3-5 weeks with a hamstring injury, team says. New Orleans hopeful Evans will be ready for the season opener.

Sounds as if his hamstring is being more problematic than his knee on which he had off season surgery, as the Pelicans were expecting him to be ready for training camp. His role on the team is up in the air as well, with the options being at guard or small forward.

Ryan Anderson (neck) tweeted that he's been cleared for contact.

Anderson suffered two herniated discs during an in-game collision back in January and was limited to just 22 games all season. He is expected to return at full-health in time for training camp and should help provide the Pelicans with an extremely solid frontcourt.

Anthony Davis is not practicing Friday for the U.S. due to a stiff neck.

Given the injuries Team USA has seen recently, they're not going to take any chances with anyone. Davis will take a seat for practice and will be considered day-to-day.
