Amini Silatolu (knee) expects to be the starting right tackle for the Panthers on Sunday.

The Chargers have not been the same on offense since Silatolu has been out of the starting lineup. They have had to rely on back up Trai Turner at right guard and they have performed poorly. San Diego could really use him back on the field to help protect Philip Rivers in the pocket.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera has all but given up on the idea of defensive end Greg Hardy being reinstated after the NFL's decision Tuesday to suspend Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson for the rest of the season.

Hardy's domestic violence issues are just as serious as those of Peterson's. Rivera seems content to avoid the problems in the locker room and will continue to run his defense without worrying about when he may or may not get Hardy back. Smart move, Ron.

Panthers signed WR De'Andre Presley from the practice squad.

The Panthers wide receiving core has been brutal this season outside of Kelvin Benjamin, which is why they are signing Presley to active roster. However, he shouldn't be picked up in fantasy leagues until he actually does something during a game.

Panthers placed Nate Chandler on season-ending IR.

This is just another blow to an already terrible offensive line in Carolina. Chandler started all 11 games for the Panthers at right tackle this season but struggled in pass protection and was a sub-average run blocker. The former UDFA and converted defensive tackle signed a three-year, $7.95M contract with the Panthers in June.

Panthers activated FB Mike Tolbert from the IR/designated for return list.

We should see him suit up against the Vikings Week 13 and make it even harder for Fantasy owners to figure out who to play in the Panthers backfield. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart couldn't even return value in a Week 11 home game against the Falcons' terrible defense.

Jason Avant was waived by the Panthers on Tuesday.

Avant is known around the league as one of the better locker room guys around but just simply can't get it done between the lines. The 31-year-old is slow and does not give you anything after the catch. He caught 21 balls for 201 yards and a touchdown this season in Carolina. The Panthers are far better off with Philly Brown as their No. 3.

Panthers G Andrew Norwell tweaked a hamstring.

The Panthers offensive line as a whole has been a train wreck this season. Cam Newton is playing hurt and running for his life on almost every play. Andrew Norwell has been the one bright spot on the line and if he sits out, this situation could get even uglier for Carolina.

Charles Johnson registered six tackles with one sack in the Panthers 19-17 loss to the Falcons on Sunday.

Johnson now has six sacks on the season as he looks to make it three straight season with double-digit sack totals.
