Paul George believes he might be able to suit up for the Pacers this year, if the short-handed squad can make the playoffs.

It's a long shot. A very long shot. While George is a strong talent, he should not be on fantasy rosters this year. Even if you think he'll be back late in the season, you don't know how he'll play immediately and would be better served with someone much more predictable.

Paul George (leg) was not wearing a walking boot on Monday.

While he continues to make progress, let's be honest, the chances of George playing this year are slim-to-none. We all saw the injury multiple times, and it would take a miracle for him to play this year. Expect the superstar back on the court for the Pacers next season.

Pacers' backup C Ian Mahinmi (shoulder) will be limited to start camp. He hopes to begin full-contact work next week.

He projects to be the back up to starter Roy Hibbert at the beginning of the 2014-2015 season. However, there have been rumors that the Pacers have been shopping Hibbert, particularly to the Cleveland Cavaliers. If Hibbert were to go, Mahinmi should slot into the starting center spot. His fantasy value is still limited as he isn't a reliable NBA scorer.

There have been contract extension talks between Pacers officials and Frank Vogel’s rep. Vogel feels “very good” about being in Indiana long term.

With the Pacers continuing to be among the Eastern Conferences top teams it would make sense that Vogel has earned an extension.

Pacers coach Frank Vogel said the team will play through Roy Hibbert more this season.

Vogel did say that there will be a "team attack," but Hibbert is going to be to focal point of this offense heading into the 2014-15 season. Last year, Hibbert averaged 10.8 points and 6.6 rebounds over 29.7 minutes per game. Those numbers are expected to see an increase this year.

Paul George was seen on a putting green Thursday, in a walking boot but without crutches.

George ditched the crutches recently, but the leg needs to be continually immobilized. Life on a putting green may be a little ridiculous and probably not the best of situations to be in for healing purposes, but unless the Pacers make some noise about that being inappropriate, who are we to judge?

Ian Mahinmi (shoulder) is expected to miss the start of training camp.

Paul George (broken leg) is down to one crutch and wearing a walking boot. He's been working out five times a week according to head coach Frank Vogel.

This is all well and good but we all saw the injury 100 times and no one in their right mind thinks he will play a minute in the 2014-15 NBA season. You have to admire his dedication and work ethic but even doing everything in his power won't get him back on the court this season.

Indiana Pacers to sign forward Chris Singleton.

The former Washington Wizard was out of their rotation once Marcin Gortat got to town last season. The Pacers are going to look for as much depth as they can after the loss of Paul George to that horrific knee injury.

Ian Mahinmi may miss from two to three months of action after the shoulder injury he suffered with the France National Team.

The Pacers can't be too happy about this considering they already lost Paul George to one of the grossest leg breaks you'll ever see. Mahinmi won't be ready for training camp and his start to the NBA season will be up in the air for right now.
