Chauncey Billups has decided to retire.

The former NBA Finals MVP has decided to hang it up after 17 years in the league. He will retire with 15,802 points and 5,636 assists, much of which was spent with the Detroit Pistons.

Gustavo Ayon has agreed to a multi-year deal with Real Madrid in Spain.

This deal signifies that we won't be seeing Ayon in the NBA this year.

Free agent Charlie Villanueva is nearing a decision between a vet minimum offer from the Mavericks and Clippers.

The 30-year old power forward knows that he's just looking at a support role, so it's a matter of which team he thinks has the best chance of advancing towards a potential championship. Our money is on the Clippers here, but he might like the fact that Dallas will make a push to send Dirk Nowitzki off on a high note.

Gustavo Ayon has been receiving better offers overseas compared to the NBA.

Well then perhaps Ayon should take his ball and head to Europe. The NBA isn't going to pay him top dollar to be a role player. There are plenty of guys willing to come off the bench at a lower cost. If Ayon doesn't like what he's been offered, he doesn't have to take them.

Lakers will work out free agent Julyan Stone this week, according to Shams Charania of RealGM. This will be the Lakers' second look at Stone.

Considering that this is the second time that the Lakers have looked at Stone, there is obviously some interest. It wouldn't be surprising if Los Angeles signed Stone, but from a fantasy perspective, he has no value. He is more of a defender than an offensive player and wouldn't see much game action anyway.

Free agent Julyan Stone will work out for the Lakers in Los Angeles this week, his second visit with the organization before meeting three other teams.

Stone was barely a role player for the Raptors last year and the Nuggets the two years prior to that. He can work out with whomever he likes but he's still doubtful to have any remote fantasy value.

Tracy McGrady is considering a possible NBA comeback.

This probably wouldn't be a wise move on McGrady's part. McGrady is 35 and last played in the NBA during the 2011-12 season. While anything is possible, I wouldn't bet on this actually happening.

Earl Clark will be working out this week for the defending champion Spurs.

Clark was a disappointment in 2013-14 split between the Cavs & Knicks averaging just 4.8 points on 37.2 percent shooting in limited action. The Spurs have already grabbed rookie Kyle Anderson to go along with other backup forwards on the roster like Boris Diaw, Jeff Ayres and Austin Daye. Even if Clark does sign, he won't help out your fantasy team at all in 2014-15.

Heat worked out Nazr Mohammed on Thursday.

The 36-year-old Mohammed played in 80 games for the Bulls this past season and averaged 1.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.4 blocks over seven minutes per game. Hard to imagine him contributing much more with Miami, but he could be a good bench guy to have.

The Hawks could add a 15th player before the start of training camp next month. They are in negotiations with unrestricted center Elton Brand, who played last season with the team.

The 35-year old Brand says that his body feels good and wants to endure another season. He played in 70 games last year (15 starts) and averaged 5.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 19.4 minutes per game for the Hawks. He would be looking to fill in as a role player once again.
