Al Jefferson says he’s 100 percent, his plantar fasciitis is gone.

Yay, fantasy owners can rejoice and feel confident in drafting Al-J to their fantasy basketball team. He's one of the best centers in the league and is a great second round pick in any fantasy basketball format.

Noah Vonleh will be out 6-8 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a sports hernia suffered in a recent workout.

That is brutal news for the Hornets first round draft pick. Vonleh will miss most of training camp, which will hinder his ability to learn the plays and develop his game. He should only be drafted in dynasty leagues because his playing time will be minimal to start the season and will not produce quality fantasy numbers.

Hornets have signed P.J. Hairston to his rookie-scale contract.

While coach Steve Clifford has said that Hairston is starter-material, he will likely only fill a complementary role this season for the Hornets. The team has brought in a number of veterans to lead the way and Clifford thinks that Hairston will prove to be a better player in the end by learning from them in his first year.

Hornets announce they have signed first-round pick Noah Vonleh.

Vonleh was already supposed to be behind Cody Zeller on the depth chart and now that Charlotte has also added Lance Stephenson, Vonleh is pushed back even further. He's got starter potential, but not for this season.

The Charlotte Hornets have re-signed guard Jannero Pargo.

Despite averaging only 8.3 minutes per game last season, the Hornets have decided to bring back Pargo to serve in a reserve role. He has proven he could do an adequate job in the team's backcourt when needed, but there is little chance he ever gets enough playing time to warrant fantasy consideration at this point in his career.

Vegas Summer League Day 7: P.J. Hairston again scored a game-high, this time 21 points against the Pelicans Summer League squad in Thursday's 104-75 victory.

Hairston was surrounded by some controversy shortly after being drafted due to a fight during a game at a local YMCA. He was taken in the first round out of North Carolina by the Heat and then dealt to the Hornets immediately after. He will likely fill a reserve role for the Hornets given their recent signing of Lance Stephenson.

Noah Vonleh, the Hornets first-round draft pick, selected ninth overall recorded another Summer League double-double Wednesday with 14 points, 10 boards and two blocked shots.

Vonleh has been impressive during this year's Summer League and will give Cody Zeller a run for his money to become the team's starting power forward this fall. Considering Zeller did little in his rookie season to turn heads, the door is open for Vonleh to become an immediate contributor for both the Hornets and fantasy owners this upcoming season.

Hornets new SG Lance Stephenson led the Pacers last season in assists per game at 4.6 and he created a team-best 8.7 assist opportunities per game for the team.

But the real eye-opening stat for Stephenson is that his five career triple-doubles are two more than his new boss, Michael Jordan, had at the same age. Not that we're even remotely saying that he is even close to the level that Jordan is or was; just noting some interesting facts supplied by our friends over at Numbers Never Lie. Stephenson will be a highly-coveted target next season in fantasy leagues and should be worth every penny.

Update: Former Pacers G Lance Stephenson has signed a 3-year, $27 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets.

Stephenson will leave a huge hole at the shooting guard position, both offensively and defensively, for the Pacers next season. He will now join a backcourt which already features a solid point guard in Kemba Walker to accompany an above-average scoring center in Al Jefferson. Although it is unlikely he will see as many shots in Charlotte as he did in Indiana, he will still make for a triple-double threat on a nightly basis.

Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said, in regards to how he plans to use rookie Noah Vonleh to start the season, "It’s not fair to throw him out there night after night against starters."

It sounds as though Clifford will want to ease Vonleh into a starting job. Now, if Vonleh proves that he is capable of holding his own early in the season, the Hornets may have no other choice but to insert him into the starting lineup. There are plenty of questions that will likely be answered early on in the 2014 season for Charlotte.
