Vegas Summer League Day 7: Hawks Adreian Payne scored a team-high 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field, including 3-of-5 from the long line in Thursday’s win over the Blazers.

This was a nice performance for Payne after he is been somewhat lackluster in prior Summer League games. He will look to fill a bench role for the Hawks this season.

Lou Williams said he "expected" offseason trade after exit interviews following season.

This is pretty much a moot point as the trade that sent WIlliams and Lucas Nogueira to the Raptors for John Salmons took place back in late June. The fact that we are now almost three weeks later and Williams is saying that he could see the writing on the wall back then is pointless. Hindsight is always 20/20, Lou. Let's just move on.

Atlanta Hawks guard Dennis Schroder is expected to get a lot of run next season behind starting point guard Jeff Teague.

Schroder did an adequate job last season when given the opportunity, but until we see how everything pans out it is hard to say just how much "run" he is going to receive. For now he should remain on the fantasy radar and could become a solid contributor if something was to happen to starter Jeff Teague.

Hawks and Thunder are working on a sign and trade for Thabo Sefolosha. Deal is expected to be finalized Tuesday.

The Hawks and Sefolosha have already agreed to a three year, $12 million deal. The Thunder are trying salvage any value they can from Sefolosha, which will likely be a second round pick and a trade exemption from the Hawks.

As expected, Hawks will not waive Pero Antic and his $1.25 million contract for next season will be fully guaranteed on Tuesday.

Antic's overall numbers may not be all that glamorous, but if you isolate the end of the year when he filled in for an injured Al Horford and averaged 9.5 points, 5.4 boards and 1.5 three-pointers over 23 minutes per game, you can see why the Hawks want to keep him around as a back-up.

Kent Bazemore has agreed to a two-year, $4 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks.

Bazemore was reasonably productive for the Lakers down the stretch last year and finished off his season with foot surgery. He's supposed to be just fine for training camp though. He'll work as a backup to Thabo Sefolosha and Kyle Korver this season.

Hawks will make the waiving of John Salmons official on Thursday.

Only $1 million of his $7 million salary is guaranteed, so Salmons was fully expected to be waived when he was first dealt to the Hawks on June 29. He'll be free to sign anywhere once the move is official.

Free agent guard Thabo Sefolosha has reached agreement on a three-year, $12 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks.

Sefolosha averaged 6.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals while garnering roughly 26 minutes per game for the Oklahoma City Thunder last season. The decline he suffered from two years ago to last year wasn't all that significant, but a decline nonetheless and he and the Thunder were expected to part ways anyway. He'll now head to Atlanta where he will compete for playing time at shooting guard with Kyle Korver and John Jenkins.

Gustavo Ayon did not receive a qualifying offer from the Hawks and becomes unrestricted free agent.

Ayon did little to warrant any interest from his current employer, and will now get to test the free agent market. Although his production has been scarce, Ayon will get scooped up by someone to be used in a bench role, but increased fantasy value should not be expected.
