John Jenkins had his fourth-year option declined by the Hawks.

This doesn't come as much of a surprise being that he only averaged 3.1 points per game last season, and 5.6 points per game for his career.

Hawks rookie Adreian Payne will not play Saturday vs. Pacers due to plantar fasciitis in left foot.

This comes as a complete shock, there was no word about this until now. We also don't know the severity of the injury either. Payne was inactive on Wednesday and the team did not provide any information prior to that game. Payne was not expect to have much to any fantasy value in 2014 anyways.

Hawks have picked up the team option on Dennis Schroder.

The plan is for Schroder and Shelvin Mack to split minutes between them while backing up starting point guard Jeff Teague, and that's not a recipe for fantasy success. He should be left to rot on the waiver wire. Happy Halloween!

In his first NBA game since December, Al Horford scored 12 points (6-15 FGA) with 13 rebounds, three assists, one steal and three blocks as the Hawks fell to the Raptors 109-103 Wednesday.

Horford showed little rust in his return to the court, though his performance has to be considered a success overall. He should be just fine for fantasy moving forward.

Mike Scott came off the bench to score a game-high 20 points (8-11 FGA/ 4-6 3PA) with four rebounds and an assist in the Hawks' 109-102 loss to Toronto Wednesday.

Scott scored 20 points or more five times last season, though he is far too inconsistent to add to your fantasy roster. He could be a decent play in daily games, given the right matchup.

Kyle Korver scored a game-high 20 points (7-10 FGA/6-7 3PA) with two rebounds, two assists and three blocks in the Hawks' 109-102 loss to Toronto Wednesday.

The only thing Kyle Korver is even competent at on a basketball court is shooting threes, yet the Hawks continue to find ways to get him open. Korver is a great source of threes for fantasy, though he will bring you down in the other categories.

Jeff Teague scored a game-high 20 points (8-12 FGA/3-4 FTA) with eight assists, three steals and six turnovers Wednesday in a 109-102 loss to the Raptors.

The Hawks had three scorers in double-figures, though it was not enough Wednesday. Teague could struggle to match the 16.5 points per game he averaged last season now that Al Horford is back, though he could see his assist totals rise.

Hawks waive C Dexter Pittman and G Jarell Eddie.

Can you believe that Dexter Pittman has a championship ring? He got one while playing on the Heats' first championship team in the 2011-12 season. He played nine minutes in his lone preseason appearance in 2014 and will likely spend his days overseas or in the D-League this year.

Elton Brand will dress on Saturday but will not play.

Brand will rest on Saturday, but he should be back on the court for the Hawks' next game.
