Jamaal Charles (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday.

The Chiefs have to beat the Steelers on Sunday if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive, so there is no doubt that Charles is going to be starting. He's one of the top plays this week and should be started in every league on the planet.

Chiefs CB Phillip Gaines is back on the practice field during Wednesday's portion open to the media.

This is a good sing for Gaines availability on Sunday when the Chiefs face off against the Steelers in a match up that could have major playoff implications.

Chiefs coach Andy Reid said RB Jamaal Charles “felt pretty good today.”  Received treatment after game Sunday.

Charles carried the ball 12 times for 52 yards on Sunday but did not play the entire fourth quarter after taking a blow to the head. The Chiefs held Charles out of the game for precautionary reasons and not because he suffered any sort of injury but seeing how he has been banged up over the past few weeks it's likely a good thing to get their stud running back some additional rest. Look for Charles to suit up again on Sunday against the Steelers in a game that will have big playoff implications.

Cairo Santos was 1-for-3 on field goals but successfully converted all four of his extra-point attempts during the Chiefs' 31-13 win over the Raiders on Sunday.

Santos has been far from being a reliable fantasy kicker this season as he is now just 17-for-21 in field goals this season while converting all 37 of his extra-point attempts. Unless in a desperate situation, there are plenty of better options to deploy in Week 16.

Travis Kelce caught five passes on six targets for 59 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's win over the Raiders. He did cough up one fumble.

Kelce has quietly put together a solid sophomore season, as he is now sitting on 56 catches for 747 yards and five touchdowns. As long as he continues to see a solid number of targets in the Chiefs mediocre passing game, Kelce is a must-start heading into championship weekend.

Albert Wilson caught three passes on five targets for 69 yards against the Raiders on Sunday.

Wilson has now received 13 targets over his last two games, resulting in seven catches for 122 yards as he tries to emerge as a legitimate threat in the Chiefs passing game. However, if playing for a championship this weekend, it would be wise to turn to a more reliable option, considering he has really only contributed in two games this season.

Dwayne Bowe caught three passes on seven targets for 69 yards against the Raiders on Sunday.

Bowe was once again a non-factor in the Chiefs win over the Raiders as he failed to find the end zone for the first time this season. At this point in the season even the best of matchups do not warrant a start for Bowe, as he continues to disappoint on a weekly basis. With that said, there is no reason he should be anywhere near a starting lineup heading into Week 16.

Knile Davis carried the ball nine times for 11 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for a 70-yard touchdown during the Chiefs' win over the Raiders on Sunday.

Davis saw some added opportunities in this one as the Chiefs jumped out to a lead and Andy Reid wanted to rest Jamaal Charles as much as possible. He didn't do much with the increase in carries, rushing for just 11 yards, but he was able to lock down the short-yardage touchdown run. But obviously, his day looked a whole lot better than to his 70-yard touchdown catch. That's not something you can rely on, but should Charles remain banged-up at all, he could see his opportunities continue to increase.

Jamaal Charles carried the ball 12 times for 52 yards and caught one pass for one yard during the Chiefs' 31-13 win over the Raiders.

Obviously not a good day for Charles, especially given expectations of him playing against Oakland. But with the ankle injury lingering from Week 14, Chiefs coach Andy Reid wanted to keep his lead back rested and opted to pull Charles once Kansas City had the game well in-hand. He's likely to see a more heavy workload next week when the Chiefs take on the Steelers.

Alex Smith completed 18-of-30 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns during the Chiefs' 31-13 win over the Raiders on Sunday. He also ran the ball three times for 17 yards.

While he completed just 60-percent of his passes, Smith posted a season-high in passing yards and actually had one of his more productive days, fantasy-wise. He's still nothing more than a game-manager who is used as a second quarterback in two-QB leagues, but he does have his occasional shining moments. He's got a tough match-up against the Steelers next week but could be forced to pass the ball more given the Steelers' ability to light up a scoreboard.
