Chiefs safety Eric Berry (ankle) is questionable for Sunday’s game vs. Rams.

Berry's been out since Week 2 with an ankle injury, but he's been limited all week. Berry could be a game time decision, but the Chiefs have no need to rush Berry back and risk an injury, as Ron Parker has played quite well as the starting safety.

Travis Kelce (ribs) was limited at practice again Thursday.

Kelce is questionable for Sunday's contest and will likely be a game time decision.

Chiefs signed LB Darin Drakeford to their practice squad.

Drakeford is familiar with the Chiefs as he spent parts of the 2013 season with the team. The young linebacker noted that he was confident he'd break Kansas City's active roster at some point this year.

Junior Hemingway (hamstring) was limited in practice on Thursday.

Hemingway suffered a hamstring injury on Sunday against San Diego, so it is good to see him practicing even if it is in a limited way. His fantasy value is almost nonexistent and we should get a clearer picture on his status for this weekend after practice on Friday.

Jamaal Charles (concussion protocol) will practice on Thursday.

Charles passed all of his concussion tests Wednesday, so the Chiefs will get him on the field as quick as possible to see if there are any lingering effects once he starts full-contact. He is expected to be fine for Sunday where he'll face a Rams defense that allows an average of 147 rushing yards per game.

Junior Hemingway (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.

Hemingway has eight receptions for 89 yards on the season and shouldn't be a starter in any fantasy line up. His hamstring that he injured in week seven is still bothering him and is jeopardizing his week eight playing status.

Chris Owens (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Owens is slotted as a back up cornerback for the Chiefs, and his status for week eight is in jeopardy. If his knee doesn't heal soon, Jamell Fleming, Phillip Gaines and Ron Parker will see an increase in their playing time.

Donnie Avery (sports hernia) has been ruled out for Week 8.

Avery has missed four games this season and when he has played, he's done very little. This groin injury could keep him out past week eight, so if you own him in a deeper league, you'd better find another option off of the scrap heap.

Eric Berry (ankle) was limited in practice on Wednesday.

Berry hasn't played since September 15 and is still being hobbled by an injured ankle. When healthy, Berry can be a difference maker and should be targeted in IDP leagues for his all-around solid defensive game.

Travis Kelce was limited in practice on Wednesday.

Kelce has been battling a rib injury, but was able to play through it during the Chiefs' week seven game against San Diego. He finished the game with just four catches for 33 yards but has definite upside going forward. At this point he is a high-end TE2, but he has the upside to finish as a bonafide TE1.
