Nationals outfielder Ben Revere is with the team and is expected to be activated off the DL in the coming days.

Nationals Manager Dusty Baker said that Revere (strained right oblique) was looking ready to play on Thursday, but elected not to activate him because the Nationals are playing at night and the temperature is expected to be cold. Baker went on to add that they will make an evaluation on Revere tomorrow based on how he feels, but all signs point to him being activated in the very near future. The Nationals outfielder struggled in his rehab stint in AAA Syracuse, hitting 3-for-16 in five games.

Update: Jackie Bradley Jr (finger) felt good after batting practice and is in the Red Sox lineup and batting ninth against the White Sox on Thursday.

Bradley, who is in the midst of a 12-game hitting streak, is good to for Thursday night's tilt against the Chicago White Sox. Erik Anderson is making his season debut for Chicago tonight, having posted a career ERA of 4.17. Bradley could be in for a solid night, as Johnson has allowed lefties to hit .258 against him so far in his major league career.

Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud is expected to be on the DL for longer than the 15-day minimum as he has yet to begin throwing while rehabbing his strained rotator cuff.

After initially going down with an injury a week ago, the Mets were holding out hope that d'Arnaud would be available to play once his 15 days were up, but there has been no timetable given for his return. As of right now, the Mets' catcher is simply resting and receiving medical treatment. Kevin Plawecki has started in d'Arnaud's place, but has failed to seize the opportunity by hitting just .176 with 2 RBIs in his 34 at-bats in 2016.

Cory Rasmus will start on Friday against the Rays in place of Garrett Richards.

Rasmus has pitched mostly out of the bullpen in his career and has a respectable ERA and WHIP of 3.83 and 1.20 respectively in 112.2 innings. However, he isn't likely to be a consistent starter moving forward unless there are long-term injuries to Angels starters.

Cardinals are considering the option of playing Jhonny Peralta at first base, third base as well as shortstop in an effort to get both Aledmys Diaz and himself in the lineup at the same time.

Diaz has torched the ball to the tune of a .381 average and five home runs, thus it would be nearly impossible for the Cardinals to take him out of the lineup. Jhonny Peralta is nothing spectacular but is a very steady hitter, which is more than can be said about Kolten Wong who is hitting just .219 with one home run. Wong is the most likely to lose playing time in the Cardinals infield upon Peralta's return.

The Cardinals plan on starting both Aledmys Diaz and Jhonny Peralta in the infield when Peralta returns from the DL.

Orioles pitcher Yovani Gallardo will not come off the DL when he is eligible this weekend and remains without a timetable as he rehabs the tendinitis he has in his right shoulder and biceps.

Gallardo has not pitched since April 22 and it doesn't appear that will change anytime soon. He had struggled prior to the injury as through 18 innings this season he had posted a 7.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP. Baltimore has had surprisingly good results from its starting staff to this point in the season, though Gallardo should help the depth of the rotation upon his return.

Hunter Pence (rest) is out of the Giants lineup on Thursday.

This seems to be a scheduled day off for Pence and Mac Williamson will take over for him in right field. He is batting sixth in the order and will face left-handed pitcher Chris Rusin, though in 15 career at-bats against lefties, Williamson has just two hits.

Warriors guard Steph Curry is unlikely to play in Game 3 against the Trail Blazers.

The updates continue to roll in on Curry but nothing has changed as he will continue to work back from his knee injury. The Warriors have little incentive to rush him back while they continue to steamroll their opponents.
