Williams has been dealing with a non-displaced fracture of his left middle finger. This injury is not in his shooting hand so hopefully he will be ready to go for the season opener on October 26th.
Beverley hasn't played since early October and won't be playing anytime soon. He has been battling a knee injury that at one point looked like it could require surgery. He seems to have avoided surgery but will need time for the knee to heal. Eric Gordon's value increases while Beverley is out.
McGruger had played well enough to earn the last roster spot on the Heat. hopefully this injury doesn't cost him that spot. X-rays were negative so we will see how long this injury keeps him out.
Arthur took some contact in Thursday's practice, and missed Friday's game. The Nuggets didn't take any chances and held him out so he can get ready for the season opener. The Nuggets going with a big lineup of Nikola Jokic and Jusuf Nurkic hurts Arthur's outlook, especially since he's behind Kenneth Faried on the depth chart. Arthur can be considered questionable for the opener and off of your fantasy radar.
Diggs was a full participant at Friday's practice and should see his usual fork load Sunday in a tough matchup in Philadelphia. Diggs got off to a booming start this year but has fallen back to Earth by averaging just 43.5 yards per game with no touchdowns over his last two contests. Diggs is in WR3/flex territory this week.
Nobody gets more credit for earning a starting job with the Nuggets than Nurkic. He lost around 40 pounds this offseason and quickly shed a minutes cap. He's playing with a chip on his shoulder and is running the floor better than he ever has. His awesome summer moves him into the late-middle rounds of standard drafts. He has real sleeper potential.
The fact that Smith was able to practice suggests he is more than likely going play. The back injury can certainly be used as an excuse to avoid Smith in fantasy when he offers a low floor. Assuming Smith plays, he will be a boom-bust WR3/flex option, as is usually the case.
