Chris Bosh Headshot

Chris Bosh has stated he does not believe his career is over despite his recent medical issues.

The drama continues. Bosh has unfortunately dealt with a blood clotting issue in his lungs that has held him out of action for long stints over the past two seasons. He and the Heat have had a public dispute going on in recent days, as the team cut ties with the 11-time All-Star.

Corey Kluber Headshot

Indians manager Terry Francona told reporters that the team is hopeful that Corey Kluber will be able to start Game 2 or Game 3 of the ALDS if he has no setbacks.

Kluber suffered a quad strain in his start this past Monday. The original prognosis is that he would need about a week or a few days longer to recover to the point of getting back on the mound, so this timeline fits.

Yan Gomes Headshot

The Indians have activated catcher Yan Gomes from the 60-day disabled list.

Gomes has missed most of the second half of the season due to a wrist injury, but he is getting back in action just in time for the playoffs. The 29-year-old backstop struggled to a .165/.198/.313 slash line across 262 plate appearances prior to the injury, but he does have plenty of thump in his bat.

Carlos Carrasco Headshot

The Indians have transferred Carlos Carrasco (finger) to the 60-day disabled list.

Carrasco's chances of returning to the Indians' staff during the upcoming playoffs were already slim at best. Now, the team will prepare to be without the 29-year-old righty. Carrasco has posted an 11-8 mark with a 3.32 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 9.2 K/9 across 25 starts this year.

Danny Salazar Headshot

Indians pitcher Danny Salazar threw a side session on Friday as he works his way back from injury.

The Indians clinched the A.L. Central with plenty of room to spare, but their pitching staff is plagued with injuries heading into the playoffs. This is at least somewhat positive for them, as Salazar has been out of the rotation since September 9th. He is targeting a return during the ALDS.

Marcel Reece Headshot

Patriots worked out Marcell Reece on Friday.

Reece, who has spent the last few years in Oakland, was released by the Raiders earlier this week. The Patriots seem to bring in pass-catching running backs whenever possible and cannot get enough of them. All joking aside, with Dion Lewis on IR, Reece might just carve out a role in New England if he is signed.

Germain Ifedi Headshot

Seahawks announced that Germain Ifedi (ankle) will play in Week 4.

Ifedi is expected to play and start at right guard in Week 4 against the Jets. The Seahawks' will finally get to see their first-round draft pick from this year in action.

Brian Cushing Headshot

Brian Cushing (knee) was limited again at Friday's practice.

Cushing was originally expected to miss 4-6 weeks due to his sprained MCL, but the oft-injured linebacker seems to be nearing a return, if not this Sunday, then the next. The Texans' defense can certainly use all hands on deck after J.J. Watt hit IR this week.

T.J. Ward Headshot

T.J. Ward (neck) upgraded to a full participant in Friday's practice.

Ward struggled with a neck issue in Week 3 and the early part of this week at practice, but it appears he is no danger of missing Sunday's matchup with the Buccaneers.
