Flores is just about ready to return to the Mets roster where he will likely serve as a platoon partner to James Loney. Flores has missed that last couple of weeks due to the hamstring injury and has stated he's ready to return.
The Diamondbacks have called up top pitching prospect Bradley to take a spot in the rotation. This has been a long time coming for Bradley who has top end of the rotation type stuff. He could be a solid option to pick up to see how the Diamondbacks deal with him.
Leone only appeared in three innings for the Diamondbacks putting up a 12.00 ERA. No surprise here that he was sent back down to Triple-A where he will likely spend the rest of the year as organizational pitching depth.
The Padres didn't seem to be getting much use out of Loney so getting some cash consideration for the 1B was a good move. Loney will man first base for the Mets until Duda returns, which is looking like a couple of months down the road.
This is good news for the Twins after Suzuki left Saturday's game with what looked like a concussion. The veteran catcher will likely sit out a couple of games but will not need to go through the MLB's concussion protocol before returning to action.
