Myles White Headshot

Giants waived Myles White on Monday.

During voluntary workouts early on this offseason, White was actually running with the first teamers opposite of Odell Beckham Jr. however, after the Giants selected Sterling Shepard in the second round of the draft this spring, White became an expendable piece.

Matt LaCosse Headshot

Giants waived/injured Matt LaCosse and Nikita Whitlock on Monday.

With Larry Donnell, Will Tye, and rookie Jerell Adams, the Giants are pretty much set at the tight end position entering the 2016 season. LaCosse never really had much of a chance here.

Clayton Kershaw Headshot

Clayton Kershaw (back) could be activated from the 15-day disabled list after he throws his simulated game on Tuesday.

Fantasy owners have been longing for the return of Kershaw ever since he went down with his back injury in late-June, as he was in the midst of an historic 2016 campaign (11-2, 1.79 ERA, 145 K's, 121.0 IP). If he does return at this earlier than expected timetable, he may be just in time to help out his desperate fantasy owners just as the fantasy playoffs begin... Fingers crossed here.

Aledmys Diaz Headshot

Aledmys Diaz (thumb) got clearance to increase baseball activities and hopes to return by mid-September.

Diaz was in the midst of a really nice season prior to going down with a thumb injury in late-July. If his timeline for return is true, he may be joining the Cardinals just when they need him – in time for their stretch run for the playoffs. As it stands the Cardinals are the second Wild Card team in the National League, with only a 0.5 game lead over the Marlins.

Jonathan Casillas Headshot

Jonathan Casillas (ribs) said he will be ready for the Giants season opener.

The 29-year old was pretty solid last season and is expected to take the next step for the G-Men this year as one of their defensive leaders and as the starting weakside linebacker. His injury is reportedly non-serious as he will be expected to start for the Giants in their season opener against the Cowboys.

Gerrit Cole Headshot

Pirates place Gerrit Cole (elbow) on the 15-day disabled list.

Cole so far is only expected to be on the DL for the allotted 15 days, however with a second opinion on the way new developments may emerge. for now there is believed to be no structural damage.

Jake Coker Headshot

Cardinals have released Jake Coker.

After Matt Barkley looked fantastic in Week 3 of the preseason, Coker lost out on the third QB position and is now a free agent. Coker has a big arm and could catch on somewhere else. Coker is your prototypical college star that doesn't translate to the pros.

Sealver Siliga Headshot

Seahawks placed Sealver Siliga on injured reserve.

Siliga made his greatest impact last year for the Patriots as he appeared in a career-high 13 games, making 28 tackles. Siliga figured to play a big role with the Seahawks this year before the devastating injury.

Knile Davis Headshot

Chiefs could make Knile Davis available in a trade.

The fact that Jamaal Charles has bounced back fully healthy and Spencer Ware is still there, the Chiefs have options. If they'd rather move Ware they could do that instead, but they seem more likely to move Davis. Davis is a multi-dimensional back that can also serve as a return man. He's worth nothing in fantasy if he remains a Chief.
