Giants Manager Bruce Bochy said that Kelby Tomlinson (thumb) needs another week to 10 days to recover before starting a rehab assignment.

Tomlinson should be back in the majors in a little under two weeks. Tomlinson is nothing more than a platoon type player as he hits only .200 vs. righties but hits an impressive .348 vs. lefties. The Giants have won 12 of their last 13 games, all of which Tomlinson missed. Coincidence? I think not. Kidding aside, he should be back soon and DFS players should know better to avoid Tomlinson unless he's facing a lefty.

After getting hit around Thursday, Sergio Romo (elbow) is set to make another rehab assignment appearance this weekend.

Romo's first rehab appearance did not go as planned. But it's unfair to not expect any rust after returning from the 60-day DL. Though his performance was underwhelming, he said he feels great. Romo should be back in the majors within the next week and look to earn his relieving role back. Though his replacement, Cory Gearrin has done an admirable job, especially in June. He has a .087 ERA and 11 SO in 10.1 IP.

Pau Gasol will play in the 2016 Rio Olympics despite his concerns over the Zika Virus.

Many players have removed themselves from the Olympics but Gasol knows the risk. He pointed out the seriousness of the disease and wants to continue bringing awareness to the disease. It's unclear where Gasol will play for the upcoming season, but we do know we will see him playing for Spain.

Gaining weight is the offseason work that Cleveland coaches want Rashard Higgins to accomplish.

Higgins was a monster in college. He played at Colorado State and in 2014, he lead the nation in both yards and receiving touchdowns. He was also a finalist for the Biletnikoff award, which is for the most outstanding receiver in college. But he's not in college anymore, the NFL is a different animal. He's 6'2 and only 190, he should probably be around 200-205 pounds.

Strasburg (ribs/back) is now considered probable to start on Sunday.

Well, Strasburg just had two ribs popped back into place, I'm no doctor but you'd think there would be some soreness heading into tomorrow. Strasburg is 10-0 and there's nothing to worry about ahead of his start against the Brewers. Strasburg noted he had difficulty breathing before his ribs were moved back in place. Expect Strasburg to be ready to roll on Sunday.

Nick O'Leary is a long shot to make the Bills roster out of training camp.

O'Leary was a 6th round pick last season and barely saw the field. Charles Clay and Jim Dray (no rhyme intended), are basically locked in as the top two tight ends. This leaves O'Leary in a battle for the third TE spot with Chris Gragg and Blake Annen. Considering they are labeling O'Leary as the long shot, Gragg appears to have the third spot barring amazing play from O'Leary. Gragg played in a few games last season and had two notable games where he combined for 12 catches and 89 yards in his two key performances.

Expectations remain that Jose Reyes will rejoin the Mets on Saturday afternoon.

Reyes officially returns as a free agent today but it is all but confirmed that he will be back with the Mets. Reyes played with the Mets from 03-11 and was a 4-time all star. Reyes was recently suspended for 52 games after being charged with domestic assault to his wife. Not the best look for Reyes. Reyes will either be filling in at 3rd or 2nd base, it is unclear which at the moment. Early reports suggest replacing the ineffective Wilmer Flores at third.
