Justin Bour (L) Headshot

Bour was placed on the 10-day DL on Tuesday with a right oblique strain, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

It is unclear how much time the Marlins' slugger will miss with the injury, but he will likely be out until at least mid-August. Mike Aviles' contract was selected from Triple-A as a corresponding move, but Tyler Moore is expected to see the bulk of the starts at first base while Bour is sidelined.

Chris Davis (L) Headshot

Davis was diagnosed with a stomach virus but hopes to get back in the lineup Wednesday, Rich Dubroff of PressBoxonline.com reports.

It seems like the issue at hand isn't too severe. Davis will be replaced at first base by Trey Mancini for Tuesday's contest, but look for the slugger to return to action in Wednesday's series finale.

Enny Romero (L) Headshot

Romero (back) saw a chiropractor recently and is available out of the bullpen Tuesday against the Brewers, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

He was only unavailable for one game with back spasms, as he is apparently ready to return to his mid-leverage role out of the bullpen. Romero has a 1.99 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 29 strikeouts over his last 22.2 innings, but no longer seems to be a dark-horse candidate for saves.
4:41 pm (EST)
Aaron Hicks (B) Headshot

Hicks (oblique) is scheduled to hit in the batting cage Tuesday for the first time since getting injured, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.

Despite the step in the right direction, the outfielder remains without an estimate of when he'll be able to begin rehab games. Hicks has been out of action for a month now, and he likely won't be ready until sometime in August. Look for Brett Gardner to continue manning center field in his stead until then.
4:40 pm (EST)
Jairo Diaz (R) Headshot

Diaz was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

He has electric stuff when he's on, but in five big-league innings this season he has given up five runs on six hits and five walks, so more seasoning is likely needed against Triple-A hitters. Carlos Estevez was promoted as a corresponding move.
4:37 pm (EST)
Tyler Ennis Headshot

Ennis agreed to a one-year minimum deal with the Lakers on Tuesday, Ramona Shelbourne of ESPN reports.

Ennis, who was traded from the Rockets to the Lakers at last year's deadline, has opted to stick with the team for another season. In 53 appearances during the 2016-17 campaign, Ennis posted 4.3 points and 1.6 assists across 11.1 minutes per game while shooting 43.3 percent from the field and 38.6 percent from beyond the arc. While he's shown enough upside to warrant a contract, Ennis will likely struggle for playing time again next season, as he's likely slated behind the likes of Lonzo Ball and Jordan Clarkson on the depth chart.
4:37 pm (EST)
Trevor Cahill (R) Headshot

Cahill will make his first start with the Royals on Saturday, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.

Should everything stay on schedule, the right-hander will make his first post-trade start against Rick Porcello at Fenway Park. Cahill will not be in uniform Tuesday night yet, so a corresponding move still needs to be made in order to get him on the active roster.
4:35 pm (EST)
Carlos Estévez (R) Headshot

Estevez was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

He has an 8.10 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 18 strikeouts in 16.2 innings out of the big-league bullpen, but has been much better at Triple-A (1.78 ERA, 1.11 WHIP). Jairo Diaz was optioned to Triple-A as a corresponding move. Look for Estevez to be primarily used in low-leverage situations.
4:35 pm (EST)
Bobby Wahl (R) Headshot

Wahl (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day disabled list Tuesday.

This is largely a paperwork move, as Wahl has already missed 60 days of action. He's still expected to be activated from the disabled list any day now, although the Athletics will need to clear space on the 40-man roster to bring him back into the fold. For the time being, Chris Bassitt will replace him on the 40-man.
4:31 pm (EST)
Jedd Gyorko (R) Headshot

Gyorko is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Rockies.

He has started 14 of the last 16 games, but is hitting just .204/.274/.352 with two home runs in 54 at-bats over that span. Greg Garcia will start at third base and hit eighth.
