Orlando Scandrick Headshot

Orlando Scandrick (groin) participated in practice Sunday.

Scandrick missed last week's preseason game with a groin injury, but was able to return to practice today, although the extent of the participation is still unknown. The Cowboys expect him to be back in time for week 1. Dallas is projected to have one of the league's worst defenses this season so they'll need Scandrick to suit up as soon as possible.

Duke Williams Headshot

Duke Williams could be in line for a significant role to start the season.

Head Coach Rex Ryan has been impressed with the safety's play this preseason, and with starting SS Aaron Williams currently in the league's concussion protocol, Duke Williams could find himself getting early opportunities. If nothing else, his strong play has assured himself a roster spot to start the season.

Carson Wentz Headshot

Carson Wentz (ribs) is still not 100 percent and will likely not play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Jets.

The second overall pick in 2016 NFL Draft suffered a hairline fracture in his ribs during the Eagles preseason opener. Philadelphia thought they could get Wentz back for the preseason finale on Thursday, that won't happen as he still deals with discomfort. The rookie will open the season on the bench.

Dorial Green-Beckham Headshot

Dorial Green-Beckham will play in Thursday's preseason finale.

The Eagles have not wasted anytime getting Green-Beckham into the mix during the preseason, even seeing time with the ones. Sam Bradford targeted him twice in the end zone, but no surprisingly Green-Beckham showed communication issues with his quarterback. Philadelphia wants to get him more run in the offensive system before putting him out there Week 1 with the starters.

Sammy Watkins Headshot

Sammy Watkins is unlikely to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Lions.

This is not surprising at all. The Bills will rest most of their starting lineup on Thursday as they want to get tape on their reserves. Watkins has looked solid in preseason and should be ready to go as a low end WR1 or high end WR2 this fantasy football season.

Jeremy Zuttah Headshot

Jeremy Zuttah is not practicing on Monday.

There is no report of any injury concern here, it appears to be a regular day of rest for the Ravens' center. He is slated to be Baltimore's starting center on Week 1 of the regular season.

Javorius Allen Headshot

Javorius Allen is not practicing on Monday.

There is no report of any injury concern here, it appears to be a regular day of rest for the Ravens running back. The young runner is competing for starting snaps with veteran Justin Forsett. He will be a big part of the Ravens running game this season regardless.

Trevor Siemian Headshot

Trevor Siemian has been named the starting quarterback for Week 1 in Denver.

The writing had seemed to be on the wall for the last two weeks but the Broncos were trying to keep it close to the vest. This may have been a case of Mark Sanchez losing the job than Siemian winning it after his three turnovers in Denver's first two exhibitions. The Broncos' hopeful future at the Quarterback position, Paxton Lynch isn't quite ready yet. Siemian will likely be on a short leash with Sanchez and Lynch waiting in the wings.

Geoff Schwartz Headshot

Lions have released Geoff Schwartz Monday.

It is never good when you can't make the Lions offensive line. He was signed to a one year deal in March but disappointed in camp and preseason. It's likely that the move the Lions made for Brandon Thomas on Sunday was the end of the road for Schwartz. He is still a veteran with plenty of starting experience, he'll likely find a new home.

Cedric O'Neal Headshot

Eagles have re-signed RB Cedric O'Neal.

The Eagles signed back Cedric O'Neal as they are short on bodies in the backfield with Wendell Smallwood in the NFL's concussion protocol. He will unlikely make the 53-man roster but may get a few touches in the Eagles final preseason game.
