Eagles have signed G John Moffitt to a one-year deal.

The 28-year-old Guard will compete for a roster spot on Philadelphia's offensive line unit. Moffitt has an interesting history and abruptly retired from Denver in the middle of the 2013 season. Since then a series of legal issues have followed the lineman including an assault and drug charges. Analysis: Matt Selz

Eli Manning‘s agent Tom Condon expects a new deal with the Giants to get done.

Eli will be a free agent at the end of the 2015 NFL season if his contract is not extended. Both the Giants and Manning have interesting contract positions with regard to injuries and pay scale. Surely a deal will get done that will keep the franchise QB in the top-five of salaries but it may not happen till the end of training camp. Analysis: Matt Selz

QB Jameis Winston is slimming down before training camp. His goal is to get to 230 pounds, his weight when he won the Heisman.

Winston is looking to lose about eight pounds from his current weight of 238 to get back to this Heisman form. Coach Lovie Smith has said this is the first offseason Winston has been able to focus solely on football and the trainers as he no longer has baseball to play. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Latavius Murray has the opportunity in 2015 to be the Raiders No. 1 guy in the backfield.

Murray knows it is a big year and opportunity for himself as Maurice Jones Drew is now out of the fold as well as Darren McFadden. He had a breakout game against Kansas City, but had to deal with a concussion and will hope 2015 is more on the healthy side. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Adrian Peterson has been working out with RB Jerick McKinnon and WR Mike Wallace since offseason workouts ended.

Peterson has been out of action for the past year, but will ready to be the same top fantasy player he was before 2014. He now has a top wideout in Wallace and viable backup in McKinnon and looks to be trying to create a dynamic offense in Minnesota.  Analysis: Rob Trayah

Donte Moncrief is a candidate to return kicks for the Colts this season.

The Colts are looking for anyway to improve their average drive start, which ranked 12th in the NFL last season. Moncrief is more of an option this season after the Colts signed Andre Johnson and have T.Y. Hilton to be starters. Analysis: Rob Trayah

Free agent guard Dan Connolly is expected to retire.

The long-time Patriots lineman has drawn some interest in free agency, but the 33-year old has decided to go out on a Super Bowl winning season. Analysis: Brett Talley

Morris Claiborne may be ready for the start of training camp after having surgery on both of his knees.

Claiborne has been horrendously bad in his short career. The only fantasy relevance of this news is that he may be on the field sooner than later and thus someone to pick on in DFS contests sooner than later. But even if healthy, it's unlikely he plays too many snaps. Analysis: Brett Talley

Nate Irving (knee) could be ready for the start of training camp. He is ahead of schedule in his rehab.

Irving had 26 total tackles last season for the Broncos despite playing only eight games. If he is healthy, Irving could challenge incumbent Jerrell Freeman for the starting role at right inside linebacker.  Analysis: Steve Pimental

Jameis Winston is committed to dropping his weight for the start of training camp.

Jameis has come to the Bucs and hit the ground running. He is practicing day in and day out and now is committed to dropping some weight before training camp. It has been reported that he wants to get back down to his freshman year weight of 230. If Winston can drop a few pounds it should help his mobility out and make him even more effective than he already will be.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Michael Bennett could hold out when Seahawks start training camp.

After signing a four year contract for 28.5 million dollars in 2014 with a guaranteed 16 million, Michael Bennett wants a new deal to move him into the top eight paid at his position. Bennett led the Seahawks with seven sacks in 2014. Seattle starts camp on July 25th but it remains to be seen if Bennett will report or will holdout with a $30,000 per day fine.  Analysis: Greg Jewett

Dez Bryant and the Cowboys had their first face-to-face meeting in nearly four months within the past week.

No one should expect a new deal to get done until just before the deadline. That being said, it is good for the team and its star receiver to get things moving along. Bryant cannot practice with the team until he either accepts the franchise deal or the two sides come up with a new deal. Analysis: Ivar G. Anderson

D.J. Hayden closed out last year as a full-time player, but he's not guaranteed to open the 2015 season as a starting cornerback.

The Raiders have a number of candidates this year in camp and while Hayden worked his way up the ladder last year, there is nothing being handed to him. He'll have to earn the starting spot all over again. Analysis: Howard Bender

Jeff Heuerman is progressing quickly as he goes through necessary rehab from his knee surgery.

Heuerman is still looking like he will miss the 2015 season due to a torn ACL. He is progressing nicely with rehab on the knee but I do not expect him to be ready to go this year. This is a good sign for the Broncos because it seems as if he will be healthy and ready to go heading into the 2016 season. Heuerman was drafted in the third round by the Broncos in the 2015 NFL Draft and was one of the few TE's in the draft that has starting potential.  Analysis: Dillon Conklin

Jameis Winston knows there are always eyes on him. "It's about my actions, "I got to be a quarterback. When I'm off the field, I got to be a quarterback. When I'm on the field, I've got to be a quarterback. I know people are going to look at me in each and every way, he said at an NFL Rookies Symposium in Berea, Ohio, Friday.

Some of the biggest questions surrounding Winston going into this year's draft was about his personality, so it is good to see that Winston is accepting that he needs to be mature both on the field and off the field 24/7. Of course, saying something is different from consistently doing it, so this quote from Winston doesn't carry much weight.  Analysis: Ben Diamond
