Baltimore is desperate for pitching help as they look to grab the AL East and with San Diego in full sell mode it would make sense that these two teams have discussed more than just a possible Upton for Jimenez swap. Cashner has been linked to a few other teams in potential deals as well so it looks as if the Padres have created quite the market for themselves.
The O's are dealing with some injuries to their outfield and Upton is having a really solid season which sees him hitting .259 with 46 runs, 16 home runs, 45 RBI and 20 stolen bases.
