Nick Cousins Headshot

Cousins (upper body) is scratched for Sunday's game against the Penguins.

Cousins misses his sixth straight contest and remains without a firm timetable for return from his upper-body ailment. Matt Read could continue to see extended looks while Cousins remains sidelined.

John Axford Headshot

Axford has struggled over five appearances this spring, generating a 5.06 ERA, 2.44 WHIP and 2:5 K:BB across 5.3 innings.

The veteran reliever, who was a valuable part of the bullpen last season with 15 holds and three saves, has endured some rough sledding this spring and hasn't taken the mound since March 17. Axford was also considered to be a contender for the closer role at one point, and did notably notch 25 saves as recently as 2015 while with the Rockies. However, it would appear that incumbent ninth-inning specialist Ryan Madson and newcomer Santiago Casilla -- who has a solid late-inning track record in his own right -- are the frontrunners for the position at present.

DeMarcus Cousins Headshot

Cousins (ankle) will be sidelined for Sunday's matchup against the Nuggets, Justin Verrier of ESPN reports.

Cousins failed to participate in Sunday's morning shootaround after tweaking his right ankle during Friday's loss to the Rockets and has been ruled out against the Nuggets. In his absence, Dante Cunningham will likely join the starting five, with Anthony Davis sliding over to the center spot. Starting forward Solomon Hill will also likely see additional run. Cousins should be considered questionable for Monday's tilt against the Jazz, which comes on the second half of a back-to-back set.
6:45 pm (EST)
Scott Wilson Headshot

Wilson (lower body) will skate right wing on a fourth line with Tom Kuhnhackl and Oskar Sundqvist on Sunday.

Two games ago, Wilson played on Sidney Crosby's line. After missing Friday with a nagging injury, the winger will start Sunday's tilt as part of a depth unit. Of course, with the way injuries have hit Pittsburgh there's always a chance he could move back up in no time.
6:44 pm (EST)
Marc Gasol Headshot

Gasol (foot) will not play Sunday night against the Warriors, Rob Fischer of FOX Sports Southest reports.

Gasol is tending to a left foot strain, although the severity of which isn't clear. Look for Zach Randolph to take his place in the starting lineup.
6:41 pm (EST)
Matt Murray Headshot

Murray is confirmed to start Sunday's game against the Flyers.

As expected, Murray will be the starter in the Pittsburgh net on Sunday. He'll field pucks from a Flyers team that is averaging just 2.42 goals per game in March.
6:41 pm (EST)
Zach Randolph Headshot

Randolph will draw the start at center for Sunday's matchup against the Warriors, Rob Fischer of FOX Sports Southeast reports.

With Marc Gasol (foot) out Sunday, Randolph will draw the start against the Warriors. In three starts this season, he's averaged 14.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 33.6 minutes per game.
6:37 pm (EST)
Joe Musgrove Headshot

Musgrove allowed one run on four hits and a walk while striking out four over five innings Sunday against the Nationals.

Musgrove was informed earlier in the day that he won a spot in the rotation and will pitch the fourth game of the regular seasonb. He turned that good news into a strong performance Sunday, facing one batter over the minimum after the first inning in a 79-pitch (53 strikes) outing. He'll take the ball April 6 against Seattle, and by dint of his order in the rotation figures to be safe when Collin McHugh -- expected to open the season on the 10-day disabled list -- becomes available.
6:33 pm (EST)
James Harden Headshot

Harden has been dealing with a sore wrist since Monday's tilt against the Nuggets, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Harden took a fall during Monday's game against the Nuggets and has been nursing a sore wrist ever since. He almost didn't play Friday against the Pelicans, but felt good enough to give it a shot. That being said, he hasn't seemed too affected by the ailment over the past few games. During Sunday's affair, he dropped 22 points (8-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 12 assists and five rebounds across 36 minutes during the 137-125 victory over the Thunder. He should be expected to play in any contests moving forward unless the pain happens to flare up once more, in which case the team would likely provide an update.
6:31 pm (EST)
Trevor Daley Headshot

Daley (knee) participated in a portion of Sunday's game-day skate, though he won't play against the Flyers.

Coach Mike Sullivan singled out Daley's progress, saying the defender didn't skate "for the whole time but for an allotted period of time by design." He was expected to miss six weeks after undergoing knee surgery Feb. 23 and appears to be on target within that timeframe. Daley has scored 19 points in 54 games after posting 22 points in 56 last year with Pittsburgh.
