Jarrett Parker (L) Headshot

Parker is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Parker will head to the bench for a second straight contest as the Giants continue to limit his opportunities against left-handed pitchers. Gorkys Hernandez will start in left field Saturday against Hyun-Jin Ryu.

Kiké Hernández (R) Headshot

Hernandez is in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

Hernandez is the rare hitter with an eye-popping track record against Giants southpaw Madison Bumgarner, but he is indeed 13-for-27 (.481) with four doubles and three home runs against Bumgarner in his career. Those numbers earned Hernandez a start Saturday, and he will man left field while hitting third in the Dodgers' batting order.

Cody Bellinger (L) Headshot

Bellinger is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

Bellinger is fresh off hitting a home run that gave him the all-time record for NL rookies, but the Dodgers are loading up on right-handed hitters Saturday against Giants ace and southpaw Madison Bumgarner, so Bellinger will be held out in favor of Kyle Farmer.

Shawn Kelley (R) Headshot

Manager Dusty Baker said Kelley is dealing with inflammation and nerve trouble in his forearm, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.

Kelley is set to get more extensive tests done on his arm after exiting Friday's game with an injury. The good news is the issue doesn't appear to be in the Tommy John area, but not much else is known beyond that. An update on his status should be available once his test results are disclosed.
5:50 pm (EST)
Justin Turner (R) Headshot

Turner (thumb) is not in the lineup Saturday for the second straight day, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com.

Turner was held out Friday after suffering a bruised thumb the day before, and with the Dodgers needing only a couple wins to lock up home-field advantage in the postseason, it's likely he will not play Saturday either. Logan Forsythe will make another start at third base in Turner's place.
5:47 pm (EST)
Ketel Marte (B) Headshot

Marte is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins.

Marte will head to the bench for a breather after starting five straight games for the Diamondbacks, going 5-for-19 over that stretch. Adam Rosales will start at shortstop and bat eighth in his place.
5:39 pm (EST)
J.J. Nelson Headshot

Nelson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Cowboys.

Nelson's injury designation indicates he is not 100 percent heading into Week 3, but he was able to practice on a limited basis from Thursday through Saturday, so it remains to be seen if he will be slowed at all once game time rolls around. Nelson stepped up last week in a big way with fellow wide receiver John Brown (quad) out, and as long as he plays Monday, he will have an opportunity to back up that showing with Brown out for a second week in a row.
5:35 pm (EST)
Raul Alcantara (R) Headshot

Alcantara will make an emergency start Saturday against the Rangers in place of the scratched Sean Manaea (back), Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Sean Manaea was scratched with a minor back issue, so Alcantara will step in to make his second spot start in the past week. He held his own while filling in for Jharel Cotton (groin) earlier in the week, striking out two batters in 3.2 scoreless innings. He likely won't pitch far enough into the game to qualify for a win.
5:35 pm (EST)
Ryan Zimmerman (R) Headshot

Zimmerman is feeling soreness and will not play this weekend, Jamal Collier of MLB.com reports.

It's not clear exactly what is ailing Zimmerman, but the Nationals can afford to give him as much rest as needed, so manager Dusty Baker is planning to hold him out both Saturday and Sunday. Adam Lind is starting in Zimmerman's place Saturday and figures to do the same Sunday.
5:30 pm (EST)
Sean Manaea (L) Headshot

Manaea was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Rangers with a minor back issue, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The good news is the ailment doesn't appear to be anything overly serious, and Manaea is hoping to make his final start of the season next week. Raul Alcantara will step in to start Saturday in his place.
