Jamie McGinn Headshot

McGinn hasn't scored a goal in any of his past 12 games.

After scoring 22 goals last season, McGinn's eight tallies in 2016-17 represent a steep decline. The 28-year-old winger also has the potential to help in the peripheral categories, but with just 14 points through 52 games, McGinn isn't providing enough offense to warrant a roster spot in the majority of fantasy leagues.

Steven Stamkos Headshot

Stamkos (knee) is on track to return, but remains within the original 4-to-6 month timeline, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Stamkos has resumed skating on his own and is beginning to work on various stick handling activities, but has yet to get on the ice with his teammates. The center will need to rejoin the Lightning for practice before he will be cleared to return, with the next step likely to be suiting up in a non-contact jersey. The early end of the 27-year-old's timeframe would have him back in mid-March, but it could be as late as mid-May, which would all but rule out seeing any regular-season action and the playoffs are in no way a guarantee for Tampa this year.

Craig Anderson Headshot

Anderson will tend the twine for Tuesday's tilt with New Jersey, Bruce Garrioch of TSN reports.

Anderson's start will be just his fourth since returning to the team after dealing with a personal matter, and he has been stellar so far, going 2-1-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .937 save percentage. Further adding to Anderson's fantasy stock, the Devils are 29th in the league in scoring, averaging just 2.29 goals per game.

Alex Burmistrov Headshot

Burmistrov hasn't registered a point in any of his past five games.

After recording a goal and six points through his first six games with Arizona, Burmistrov has posted just a single assist over his latest 10 outings. The 25-year-old forward is versatile and owns modest offensive upside, but he's likely best left to the waiver wire in the majority of seasonal leagues at this stage of the game.
11:21 am (EST)
Ondrej Kase Headshot

Kase has played primarily with Ryan Getzlaf and Nick Ritchie at five-on-five over the past two games.

While Kase hasn't cashed in on the opportunity, flanking Getzlaf provides the rookie with a fleeting fantasy boost for the duration of his time in the scoring role. Kase owns offensive upside, but it's likely to early to grab him in most settings. He's likely best viewed as a potential low-priced flier in daily contests, but you'll want to ensure he's still playing with other skilled forwards before locking him into your lineup. Kase returning to a bottom-six role again wouldn't be shocking.
11:17 am (EST)
Logan Shaw Headshot

Shaw has not scored a goal in any of his past 11 games while averaging just 11:23 of ice time per contest.

While Shaw does have two assists during the 11-game stretch, his offensive numbers -- two goals, five points -- aren't moving the fantasy needle. Additionally, with just 48 shots, eight PIM and 50 hits through 41 games, Shaw doesn't help in the peripheral categories, either. It's safe to continue fading him in the majority of settings.

Adam Plutko Headshot

Pluko is slated to begin the season in Triple-A Columbus, but will be one of the top option for a promotion when the need for a starting pitcher arises, SB Nation reports.

Plutko was drafted in the 11th round of the 2013 draft after leading the UCLA Bruins to the National Championship that year. He's blown through the Tribe's minor league system thanks to his excellent command of four pitches, including a fastball that tops out in the mid-90s. Plutko began 2016 at Double-A Akron where he performed admirably, earning a promotion to Columbus after 13 starts thanks in part to a solid 3.27 ERA and a 3.01 FIP. In his first taste of Triple-A, Plutko was solid, though unspectacular, averaging six innings per start and finishing with an ERA of 4.10 and a 3.97 FIP. The righty is worthy of attention in dynasty formats.

A.J. Ramos Headshot

Ramos is working through some soreness in his right leg, although he is still able to pitch, The Miami Herald reports.

He was scheduled to throw a live batting practice session Monday, and at this point the soreness doesn't seem like something that will be an issue for Ramos come Opening Day, or jeopardize his spot as the Marlins' closer.
11:00 am (EST)
Frederik Gauthier Headshot

Gauthier was recalled from the Toronto Marlies of the AHL on Tuesday.

The 2013 first-round pick's recall coincided with rookie sensation Mitch Marner (upper body) landing on injured reserve. Gauthier will center the Leafs' fourth line Tuesday against Winnipeg, replacing Ben Smith in the lineup. In 18 games with the Maple Leafs in 2016-17, Gauthier has averaged less than 10 minutes on ice per game, recording three points.
10:57 am (EST)
Daniel Winkler Headshot

Winkler (elbow) is currently throwing from 120 feet, and is hoping to be cleared to pitch off a mound before training camp ends, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

It's been a rough couple of years for Winkler, who fractured his elbow last April while throwing a pitch just after making his return from Tommy John surgery. The 27-year-old isn't expected to be ready to compete for a spot in the big league bullpen until sometime this summer, but until he's able to get back on a mound, the Braves won't have a firm timetable for his recovery.
