Curtis Granderson is not in the Mets starting lineup on Thursday.

Granderson was scratched from Wednesday's lineup right before game time and will also miss Thursday's game as well. The Mets start a crucial four-game series with the Cubs on Thursday so they need Granderson back as soon as possible. Brandon Nimmo is leading off and playing right field in his absence.

Rolando McClain has been suspended 10 games for violating NFL substance-abuse policy.

Rolando McClain has never been able to stay on the field since coming into the NFL and this upcoming season is no different. Just like last year, he'll start the season on suspension, except this season is 10 games, not four. The Cowboys were relying on McClain in the middle of their defense this year, as his loss will hurt them mightily.

Marlins officially acquired Fernando Rodney from the Padres.

With the acquisition of Rodney, the Marlins ensured that opponents better have the lead after seven innings or games are virtually over. Like we previously mentioned, Rodney will slot into the eighth inning as the team has no reason to move their lights out closer A.J. Ramos out of that role. Rodney has allowed one measly run on the year, so he's bound to regress a bit, but he's looked extremely sharp all season long. His fantasy value will take quite a hit if he's not closing games, however.

Ben Revere is not in the Nationals starting lineup on Thursday.

The Nationals are playing the matchups on Thursday, keeping as many lefties out of their lineup as they can against Brandon Finnegan and the Reds. Revere will give way to Michael A. Taylor in center field.

Bryce Harper is not in the Nationals starting lineup on Thursday.

With left-handed pitcher Brandon Finnegan on the mound, the Nationals are giving Harper Thursday off. This will only be the fourth game Harper will miss all season long, but none because of injury. Chris Heisey is drawing the start in right field and will hit seventh in the Nats order.

Dodgers acquired Bud Norris from the Braves for two minor league players.

It feels like every single Dodgers' starting pitchers have suffered at least one injury and have spent time on the disabled list. To soften the blow, they went out and brought in Bud Norris on Thursday. On the year, Norris is 3-7 with a 4.22 ERA over 70.1 innings. Norris is coming off the best start of his season as he threw seven shutout innings against the Mets last week. Norris will have much more run support in LA than he did in Atlanta so he could have some fantasy value going forward.

Blue Jays optioned RHP Ryan Tepera to Triple-A Buffalo.

To make room for Brett Cecil who came off of the disabled list on Thursday, Tepera bit the bullet as he heads back to the minors. Tepera has not been very good this year, posting a 5.79 ERA over 4.2 innings.

Blue Jays activated LHP Brett Cecil from the 15-day disabled list.

The Blue Jays are in dire straights, looking for anyone to help their bullpen and Cecil provides them with just that. He's their main left-hander out of the pen but they use him against righties as well. Cecil has no impact in fantasy formats.

Knicks are one of the teams that Evan Turner expects to meet with.

Just another player the Knicks are reportedly meeting with. It seems like they're meeting with every player on the market, but they need to because they only have four players on their current roster. Turner and the Knicks seem like a good pairing seeing how desperate the Knicks are to have a reliable shooting-guard. That's what happens when your head coach is the best one on your roster.
