Randal Grichuk went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and one run scored against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Grichuk has now homered in two of his last three games, giving him three home runs and 10 RBI through 66 at-bats in the month of May. Coming off of a season in which he logged 17 home runs, Grichuk is on track to top that number, but will need to fnd a way to lower his strikeouts (37 K) in order to fully reach his potential at the age of 24.

Matt Adams went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a pair of runs scored against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Matt Adams has picked up the pace of late, having now gong 6-for-9 with four extra-base hits (2 HR) and four RBI over his last three games. Now slashing 3.16/.374/.561 with six home runs, 21 RBI and 15 runs scored through 98 at-bats, Adams is off to a nice start, but will find a way to figure out a way to do better against southpaws (.253 BA) before seeing regular at-bats in the Cardinals starting lineup.

Terrelle Pryor told reporters that he feels '10 times' better at wide receiver, saying, "I want to go beat up some corners."

Pryor is entering his second season as a wide receiver. He had a limited role with the team last year, but with the team recently cutting Brian Hartline, there could be room for him on the field if he is able to impress coaches this off-season and training camp.

Aaron Nola allowed four runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out six over six innings during Wednesday’s outing against the Tigers.

Before Wednesday’s outing, Nola had strung together six straight quality starts. He still pitched well against the Tigers but he wasn’t as sharp as he’s been early on this season. What’s most impressive about the Phillies 22-year old is his ability to miss bats and simply throw strikes. He’s struck 70 batters out while walking just 12 over 66 innings. Nola is currently top-10 in all of baseball in WHIP and strikeouts. Nola will next toe the slab against a dangerous Nationals team but that shouldn’t scare you away from using him in DFS. He’s shown he’s not scared of any matchup and can make the best hitters in the game look foolish.

Matt Holliday went 1-for-5 connecting on his seventh home run with three RBI against the Cubs on Wednesday.

Despite hitting his seventh home run of the season on Wednesday, Holliday is slashing a mere .233/.307/.453 through 159 at-bats as he continues to struggle in 2016. Clearly he is not the fantasy stud he once was, but at the age of 36 Holliday can at least provide some power production from the outfield position until further notice.

Jeanmar Gomez pitched a clean ninth inning recording the save (17) during Wednesday’s game against the Tigers.

Since blowing his first save back on May 4th, Gomez has converted seven straight save opportunities, including Wednesday. He’s not a big strikeout guy, as he hasn’t recorded a multi-strikeout outing in seven contests. However, he’s been lights out posting a 1.09 WHIP and a 2.45 ERA. The issue could come up if Gomez was overworked during the early months of the year later in the season, but for now, he’s a top-10 fantasy option at closer.
