His thumb injury is still limiting him in practice. If he cannot play on Monday against the Vikings, which in itself is a tough assignment, then Orleans Darkwa will be in line for additional snaps. Not that you really want to be relying on Darkwa to power your fantasy team.
The Royals are resting several of their regulars, including their first baseman, Hosmer. In Hosmer's place KC is starting Daniel Nava, who is hitting in the seventh slot in the order against the Indians and their starting pitcher, Trevor Bauer.
The Heat will let him recover from his knee issue, as he is slated to be their starting point guard. That assumes that the Heat do not trade him, as has been rumored. The knee issue may interfere with those plans, however, so the Heat will want him to show he is ready to play sooner than later.
It may not be with St. Louis, as the team has declined his option for 2017. He can still be productive in the outfield and does not necessarily have his options limited to becoming a DH in the American League. Injuries have limited his playing time over the past two seasons, but he has all winter to heal and rest up for next season.
