In what is now the norm, another explosive week of performances by wide receivers across the league. If you are like most, you are using a WR in your flex position as the pass catchers have been more reliable than the dreaded running back by committee. If your league uses post season, load up on New Orleans and Atlanta which promises to be a high scoring shootout.
Finally, the bye weeks are over. No more juggling due to off weeks. No more surprises, only injuries to contend with. A special week of action with the usual triple header of action on Thanksgiving Day! Will Detroit hand Green Bay its first loss of the season? Is Dallas all the way back and finally going to be a team to contend with in the postseason? And which Harbaugh brother will prevail?
As we head into Week 7 of the 2011 NFL season there are a number of things to keep in mind. First, the numbers really begin to have meaning as one or two week wonders are falling from the big pictures. Also, with some of the teams already having had their bye weeks, their season totals need to be adjusted to take note of such. Lastly, while targets are a key component of a player’s involvement in his team’s game plan, of equal importance is how many of the attempts are actually completed.
