Brandon Flowers Headshot

Brandon Flowers (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 7.

Flowers suffered the concussion in Week 3 against the Colts, and has been out of action since. He did practice on a limited basis this past week, but was unable to convince the team and doctors that he was ready to take the field for game action. Look for Casey Hayward to start his his place against the Falcons in Atlanta.

Kyle Schwarber Headshot

Kyle Schwarber is headed to the Arizona Fall League to continue his recovery from knee surgery.

Flowers suffered a concussion in the Week 3 game against the Colts. Although he was able to practice on a limited basis this past week, he is still not ready to take the field. While it does sound as though he is getting closer to being cleared to play, look for Casey Hayward to start in his position in Week 7 in Atlanta.

DeAndre Levy Headshot

DeAndre Levy (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Week 7.

Levy has ben a frequent non-participant at practice, not having taken a snap on defense since the Lions' opening game. This marks the second season he has missed considerable time due to injury, and there is no report on when he will be back in action. If you for some reason were holding him in your IDP league, it is now time to drop him for a player who will provide some stats.

Marcus Burley Headshot

Marcus Burley (hamstring) will not play Week 7.

Burley strained his hamstring in the Week 6 contest against the Titans, and was forced to leave the game. He was held out of practice all week, and the injury looks to be significant at this point. While not bereft of talent at corner, his absence does weaken the Brown secondary as they head to Cincy to take on the Bengals.

Josh Magette Headshot

Hawks will waive point guard Josh Magette.

He was operating on a training camp contract, while other players were recovering from bumps and bruises. He was never considered a true option to make the 1 final roster, and that has now become a reality for 26-year old point guard.

Sam Freeman Headshot

Sam Freeman signed a minor league contract with the Braves.

Freeman boasts a good arm that can rack up the Ks, but also suffers from a lack of control. He spent the bulk of last year in Triple-A with the Brewers' minor league affiliate at Colorado Springs, where he was not exactly unhittable, posting a 5.20 ERA and 1.65 WHIP over 55 and 1/3 innings. He could wind up in the Braves bullpen if he can demonstrate a return to form in the spring.
